No upgrade o... moreif the display, speakers and battery are great then the camera stagnation is acceptable imo, if those aren't that great then this is a bad release. Vivo had a strong run from the X70/X80 series till the X100 series, it's tough to be making great stuff all the time, they earned this "stagnation" phase.

      That is a beautiful form factor. If the battery is equal or more than the Xiaomi 14 or 15. It's a real contender and easily a better choice than a Samsung, Apple or Pixel in many countries where those phone's are way more expensive for a base model compared to a top trim Vivo, Xiaomi (and maybe Oppo) for a ~70mm wide phone.

        I'm looking forward to this model. This can be a worthy rival to Google Pixel 9 Pro and Apple iPhone 16 Pro.

                    I wonder if the really compact phones have a chance to make a comeback when the solid state batteries arrive? The batteries will be 50% smaller with the same capacity as today.

                          Sony is stubborn and stuck in their ways Samsung and apple are too compact

                          You have better odds going to unihertz or supporting lower tier odms like umidigi etc or fund some form of Kickstarter

                            I'm waiting for Sharp or Apple or Sony or maybe even Samsung to make something like 5.7-5.9in (14.478-14.986cm) display and thin bezel

                            Forgot to mention Asus, you *could* still use Zenfone 8/9/10, not for much longer unless you really believe in the product (12/13 mini with like 7 years of updates (dont bite me im not sure)), I could maybe make it work
                            speaking of compact (again with apple) why apple bump up pro size is a mystery, and SE,to me, should be size of 12/13 mini
                            And Vivo, making an... effort, kind of. Makes me somewhat happy, althrough it could be done much better.
