iQOO 13 to have downgraded charging, new rumor reiterates

Im going to buy a new phone in December (gonna have to save up 1st). Hoping this one would be out by then and with an international OS like the Funtouch 15 of Iqoo 12.

    Not much of a downgrade to be honest.

    I still have the IQOO 12 and it's a good phone, I would recommend getting one if you're tight on the budget.

      Redmi, Realme and now IQOO, We will go back to the times of 18W.

        Also isn't recent Chinese manufacturers shifting to the Silicon Carbide Battery Tech? That also kind of explains the reason for the downgrade in Charging Speed (if we actually call it a downgrade since it probably doesn't make a lot of difference, maybe 5-10 mins at best)

          Not a big deal given the much larger battery. The screen will be the biggest upgrade over the iqoo12 but a much better 2k screen probably from BOE instead of visonox. Rear cameras though will also get a major downgrade to the main sensor and telephoto

            i have an infinix zero ultra which charge s full from zero
            in 21minutes or perhaps a minute or two faster keeping
            in mind that the phone is totally off while being charged
            but would still prefer a faster charging speed if possible

                With the addition of IP68 Support for the IQOO 13 will Force other Phone Brand to make a significant improvement for their High End series because that's where the IQOO is competing.

One Plus 10T with 150Watt charger was overkill in my honest opinion. One Plus 12 at 100Watt is great charging solution. With bigger batteries, it's going to be awesome combination.

                    Case in point :

                    Red magic 9 Pro which has a 6500 mah battery that charges at 80W and
                    Red magic 9 Pro+ which has a 5500 mah that charges at 165 W.

                            Thanks to TSMC who just increased the cost for manufacturing the chipset so snapdragon 8 elite cost more. In other hand, the OEM who want to use it, has these 2 option:
                            The product become more expensive
                            Or downgrade / remove something from the product so the cost will remain the same as it's predecessor
                            This is why I hate monopoly. TSMC need more competition

                              Downgrading to at least 100w?, probably is due new battery techonology is optmized at 100w tops and not above.

                                Probably because there are infinitely more smartphone fires happening these days compared to those handful Note 7 fires a decade ago. There has even been fires on airplanes, which is a fairly big problem.
