Watching media on the 16PM compared to 16P is nice though I'll admit

            You're not making sense. If a particular item makes it to the production, that means the company is being certain that they can be profitable by producing the said item, but that no way implies, 1. The image quality is comparable to a standard prime lens, 2. The yield rate is high enough to meet extremely high demand.

            It's better than having a tiny type 1/3.5" sensor behind a mediocre quality "optical zoom" lens, applying a ton of sharpening and letting their fans pretend like it's better than a solution that uses a four times larger sensor.
            It's not just about the cost - optical zoom design sacrifices the image quality A TON, there's a reason why good zoom lenses for interchangeable cameras tend to be very large and extremely expensive, yet most of them still fall behind equally priced prime lenses.

                Nobody uses because of price. 2 cameras with FL fixed is cheaper solution, more difference than you think between two systems.

                Like oppo has competence to properly use that. Worst photos among all imx989/lyt900 phones.

                Yeah, 65mm using digital zoom surely can replace zoom camera. 🤣
                All 1/1.56" are bad. Leadt worse is isocell gn3.
                Upscaled photos and videos at other FLs are great ✌🏻..

Should have the... moreOutside of the cost, the image quality and yield rate are problems with optical zoom modules for mobile phones. Oppo also had once announced the development of their own solution of optical zoom, but they ended up stuffing a large sensor behind a prime lens for their flagships released later, and everyone except for one company seems to be taking this route, too.

                    Apple can afford any component out there.
                    Should have the 4.4 - 9.0x module from LG Innotek.

                      Nameless, 11 hours agoEqualizing all cameras between both PRO models is probably ... moreyeah but the problem is that they ain't consistent. The 11 Pro and Pro Max were the same, then the 12 Pro got nuked, the 13/14 Pro and Pro Max were the same and then the 15 Pro got nuked and now we have the 16 Pros.

                        Equalizing all cameras between both PRO models is probably the best thing Apple did in years. Now Samsung should give at least main camera from Ultra to S-line brothers. Coz now they are just midrangers.
