Should I buy the old tablet redmi pad pro that was released this summer or wait for new version early next year?

I hope they won't forget to include the 4g / 5g chip this time around

I'm using a tablet 12.7" tablet with snapdragon 870 and that's plenty of power for me as I basically only use it to watch stuff on. Have a snapdragon 8 gen 2 phone though and I agree that (or snapdragon 8s gen 3) should definitely be enough for the vast majority of people.

                    They all already powerful enough.
I get it, progress is important, but SD 8 gen2, for example, is all that 99.5 percent of people need in next 2-3 years.
Imagine SD8 Gen2 with newest ISP, instructions etc built on gen4 production process.
That would be a killer SoC, with insane thermals and battery life.

                                    SD870, SD 8 gen2 and now SD 8s Gen3.
Same setup, same demanding games, same apps.
                                    And guess what?
You can feel the difference going from 870 to 8 gen2 ofc, but for most ppl sd 870 is plenty, even today.
                                    But from 8 gen 2 to 8s gen3?
                                    Basically the same.
                                    Anyone saying differently is lying.
