tsukimi, 13 Oct 2024xiaomi should fix the battery drain problem in hyperOS soon... morewhat phone don't you have to charge everyday with normal use? I'm curious. It's weird that I only see that xiaomi has a bad battery life on this website.

Grabbed a 14T Pro as early bird. This seems a great phone, but there is a important disappointment for this price: when we are not in the perfect condition (taking outdoor pics in sunlight), pics are blurry when shooting a child, who doesn't stay still as an adult and this is normal... After reading many tests on DXOMarks, I've been able to find what is causing this weakness: Mediatek Dimensity SoC. Even a top-notch shooter as Vivo X100 Pro for instance has issues with shooting subject in movement and artifacts performance.

It's a pity that GSMArena doesn't have this test condition in there protocol. Because this issue ruins everything when we are parents. Even a cheaper honor 200 pro with a Qualcomm SoC is infinitely better for this kind of photos.

(Otherwise for people who doesn't care about shooting subjects in movement, its cameras are very good in the others departments. Especially shooting night sky thanks to the rare 1.6 aperture)

T-virus, 13 Oct 2024I don't understand why people tolerate ads in these Ch... moret14 pro costs 700 euros, Samsung Galaxy s24 costs 739 euros for the same 256gb storage and for almost the same price we're given a Dimensity 9300+ , but for the s24 we get a garbage Exynos. 120w charging, wifi 7, BT 5.4, longer battery life, super fast wireless charging(which I really love) And ads can be removed, by disabling their key services that provide them in the Privacy section. While s24 has the only benefit of 3.2 usb-c transfer speeds, which is slower than wifi 7 speeds by a huge margin and you don't need a dumb wire. So I see why people buy Xiaomi phones for even 700 euros, yes.

Heis, 13 Oct 2024Give us a clean UI without ads (doesn't matter if you ... moreI have few Xiaomi flagship phones and never had any problem with ads on it... It cames a few on the phone like a cleaner but I deleted all in just few minutes when I first start the phone and thats i, usedit like 4 years without any problem or ads interoptions etc. Never had any issues with ads after first delete or disable. I have samsung flagship but even samsung has ads that you can't deleted, just have option to disable it like facebook that I don't have or want on my phone, memory cleaner that I never use etc. Frankly I like more Xiaomi software that samsung cos it has a lot more features and thing you need every day and much more easier to use and find. This comes from guy who is using the both and samsung lacking some features like locking apps with pass or figer, playing YouTube with screen off, some camera features, some editing photo features that Xiaomi has and I need to install other apps on samsung so I can hsve the same or nearly the same, easier finding some stuff in the phone like caller id etc etc...

                            "the Xiaomi phones are great"

Idk on what base has such statement/conclusion been made. Reviews in Amazon are either from super happy customers, who have no ads and issues or... totally disappointed customers with lots of issues. Everyone should choose what to believe or not... certainly gsmarena should maintain a bit more objective viewpoint. Especially when we're speaking of mobile phone with prices above laptops

I don't understand why people tolerate ads in these Chinese phones on the OS level. Not only tolerate, but support it by buying phones that cost as much as (Xiaomi 14t costs ~700eur in EU) Samsung's phones without ads. Are you mad? Do you want other companies to follow? DO NOT SUPPORT BAD practices of corporations for your own good. Or better yet, sabotage them.

MIUI and HyperOS are actually pretty decent, it's the long term support that's generally lacking on Xiaomi phones. And even when they commit to providing 5 years of updates, they are still always dragging like donkey's balls because of their Chinese and International segmentation and they are really bad at fixing whatever you report if they ever fix anything. Every time I've reported any issue they just pointed me at the beta program to try it out and see if the bugs are fixed there. That's not how you deal with bugs and issues. At all.

A happy user. Got what all I need for the price. EUR 646 12gb/512gb, free 120w charger + Redmi Buds. from Malaysia. Pity the tax is higher in non Asian countries.

Camera suites my style (coming from aging Huawei P40). HyperOS not that bad, tweaks a bit in the settings here & there, u good to go. Highly recommended.

At least 120W retail box is gifted

Only good hardware cannot give good experience when you have crappy software. This is why people buy samsung.

Loving the 14T Lemon Green 512GB variant! Not sure about the battery performance saying it's not great, but the battery is awesome in my actual use -- I'm a moderate-heavy user. Anyway, camera is superb! I remember using Huawei P and Mate series back then. Glad that Xiaomi partnered with Leica! \m/
