      David, 2 hours agoInferior to the previous desktop chips especially in raw sp... moreit does impact the desktop, sure it doesn't got a step performance wise, but on efficiency side it does. So it did impact mainly on device that didn't have discrete GPU, as AIO, mini PC, and it open a probability of budget ITX PC that capable for gaming and AI job

            Slower than 14900K, but with less power.

                  Inferior to the previous desktop chips especially in raw speed and performance. Total step backwards all because of the AI fad and this obsession with efficiency which doesn’t really matter on a desktop.

                      Improved efficiency? On a desktop PC tower? If this is a mobile CPU like Core Ultra 200V serious, I totally get it. But for something that mainly leaves at home? I don't think most people even care about it.

                        Damn..... Now even Desktop CPU's gonna become confusing. Eitherway avoid getting intel chips till 2nd generation after the 13th/14th degradation problems.

                              70 for ultra 7
                              90 for ultra 9

                                2 for 2nd gen
                                40 for ultra 5
                                60 for ultra 7
                                80 for ultra 9
                                5 at the end means higher tier.
                                K means unlockable.
                                F means no GPU.
                                Same naming scheme as Lunar Lake laptop CPU and its the best. Far better than intel core i9 14900K

I wonder why they don't try and simplify it a bit. Do they still think they can get away with selling 12 different tiers of the same product to their customers?

                                        at least lga 1700 cpu and motherboard will be cheaper (hopefully)
