AbruptDecay, 14 Oct 2024I guess people keep hating on MediaTek even after the blund... moreAnybody well versed in the topic will know the heating issues those chipsets had were simply due to NOT being manufactured by TSMC (Samsung did btw). If you were going to buy a phone, this is one of the main points you would focus on, as the chipset is essentially the heart of the device. If you buy anything that's not TSMC manufactured then that mistake alone is on you buddy.

Sure a Custom Rom may feel nice to keep your phone updated after it's reached EOL, although I honestly don't think it'll be a long-term solution

So there you have it. There are custom ROM for Mediatek devices too!
Everyone can make their own custom ROM nowadays. It's much easier than you thought. Even the A.I. can create one for you. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to be running a custom ROM on your phone...
Just customize the stock ROM and voila you have custom ROM ;)
See I told you it's easy to have custom ROM ;)

Meanwhile here I am with my Redmi Note 8 running Evolution X (Android 14), feelsgoodman.
