I've seen no issues, so I'm not even sure what the issues are supposed to be.

Someone at XDA downloaded the update zip before Google took it down. If you really want the update you can sideload it. But proceed at your own risk obviously. Google took the update down for a reason. I have had no issues until now though.

The reason Samsung felt they had no choice "giving up" Tizen on watches was indeed because Google aggressively undermined its existence. There was zero Google apps on Tizen, despite Tizen watches for Android outnumbered Android Wear by a factor of more than 100/1.
Enjoy your antitrust now? Now that Google genuinely reveals why they should be broken up? The way they destroy competition without having the competence to deliver a functional alternative themselves.
This will get a lot worse around WearOS7, when Google is expected to do all the development themselves. Right now, you get a great WearOS 5 experience if you buy a Galaxy Watch 7.

I keep seeing people saying they got the watch is 5 update for their pixel watch 2 and how bad it is, but I've never seen any notifications on my watch or my phone or even on the watch app about an update, for my pixel watch 2, I'm not sure if that's smth to do with the fact I'm ok the UK or because Google got rid of watch os 5 so quickly lol can someone explain??

I received the Wear OS 5 update on my Watch 2. The update installed with no issues. However, the battery life is now absolutely terrible. Prior to the update I would finish the day on around 55%. I now finish the day at around 24%. Google were touting that Wear OS 5 would dramatically improve battery life. Seemingly not in my case.

The devs just didn't want to make apps on another proprietary platform with laughable adoption, compared to Apple Watch and even a Google backed wearable OS...

That's quite a problem to sell features that aren't here/stable for mass utilisation ... Google at his finest as always!
I'll keep my Watch3 Titanium as much as I can.

Yh I know Google always messing it .what the point buying there devices they hardly any good.
I only used to buy there phones when they were giving free unlimited backup on photos and videos on their devices now recently I bought the pixel 9 fold
Found out NO unlimited backup on photos or videos I returned my device back for a better one

This is a mess. It isn't like it's a massive update from WearOS 4, yet it seems like Google are, as always, failing big with their bits.
