cp6uja1988, 12 Oct 2024I checked those plans. They are 66$ a month. So 36 x 66 = ... moreBut the phone value already halved it's price in less than a year from launch. Amazing tomfoolery we have here.

To each their own. My annual plan from USmobile cost $270 on the same Verizon network, so buying the phone outright and then paying around $810 for 36 months is a no-brainer.

I sometimes meet people who need help paying their phone bills and when you tell them there are cheaper options out there, they think you're stupid or that you're making an excuse because you don't want to help them.

They should offer this in the cold northern parts as free hand warmers. 🔥👍

I stopped paying postpaid plans after my iPhone 12 mini and Razr 5G were paid off last year. I honestly felt I wasted $900 on my unlocked Flip 3. I still love the device and battery life is fine for my needs as I keep it at 4G only and 60 hz. But if I got the Razr 5G first, I probably would've never got the Flip 3. Ironically, I still prefer my Flip 3 a tad more than my Razr because it has more features and I feel Samsung will take care of it better if it breaks unlike Moto's awful CS and aftermarket support.

I'm with Visible which is by Verizon. My plan is $20 per month for 2 years but it's unlimited. After the 2 years, it's back to $25. Others have it better if you recently switched from T-Mobile. They get it $15 per month for the next 5 years guaranteed. No price hikes.

Those 3-year plans are a trap. You end up paying at least $70 per month for the next 3 years.

            Visible (basic unlimited): $25 (no promo price) x 36 = $900
            Verizon: $70 (+ "free" phone) x 36 = $2,520
Difference of $1,620 or $540 per year.

You can use that $540 you save and buy the S24 FE outright. Then save at least 65% on your phone bill per month if you go to a cheap, prepaid MVNO like Visible, Tello, Boost, or Mint Mobile. The days using any of the three major networks in the United States (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T) are over. Don't waste years overspending on phone lines because you want a new phone that's marketed as free. Stay away from those obligations and go prepaid. You can pick and choose if you want to leave that MVNO or not.

For postpaid plans, the cheapest here in USA is Spectrum. My parents get it for $30 per line and per month unlimited. But they won't offer the best selection of phones or offer the level of trade-ins as the others do.

cp6uja1988, 12 Oct 2024I checked those plans. They are 66$ a month. So 36 x 66 = ... morebut on Verizon's site the Unlimited Welcome pack is $75, the Unlimited Plus pack is $90 and the Unlimited Ultimate pack is $100. The $65 thing is only for the Welcome pack and only with a "$10/line per month" autopay package, you're basically paying the same thing, you're just paying them for the auto pay thing instead here lmao

              So, it's either
              Welcome : 36x75= $2700
              Plus : 36x90= $3240
              Ultimate : 36x100= $3600

This is all BEFORE taxes and other fees. So yeah, good luck adding all those costs. To think this is free is ridiculous.

only with this deal is the S24 FE worth it

cp6uja1988, 12 Oct 2024I checked those plans. They are 66$ a month. So 36 x 66 = ... moreis it unlimited speed with no data cap at the very least? also, knowing the us, it's with no tax included, so 2500$ is the least amount to pay...

                    Ew exynos... no thanks.

Darth Caesium, 12 Oct 2024The only good value FE was the S20 FE. Take a look below as... moreI'd say the bigger reason as to why the S20 FE was the only good FE, and none of the new ones make any sense is that it was a different enough phone than the rest of the S20 series. It was bigger than the S20, but a lot cheaper than the S20+, so it made sense to get it over the S20+ if you wanted to save money.

DarlingYext, 12 Oct 2024Says a lot about its value lmaoThe only good value FE was the S20 FE. Take a look below as to why.

The S21 FE wasn't bad per se, but it wasn't really much of an upgrade over the S20 FE and the only clear reason to go for it over its predecessor was the much better Exynos 2100 chip (if your market didn't have the Snapdragon variant), semi-variable refresh rate (48-120Hz instead of static), Gorilla Glass Victus instead of 3, and the inclusion of a real proximity sensor.

The S23 FE quite literally had a worse selfie camera, thicker bezels, Gorilla Glass 5 instead of Victus (subjective as to which one's better honestly), and terrible battery life; and the only upgrade it received was a better main camera and a brighter display.

The S24 FE is better in terms of upgrades than the S23 FE — with the new Exynos 2400e being MUCH more efficient than the Snadpragon 8 Gen 1, and the more efficient screen and 200mAh increase in battery capacity also no doubt help in giving it a much better battery life — but the increase in its price means it's competing with the S24, which by this point in its lifecycle is significantly discounted to the point where it's cheaper than the S24 FE anyway. This phone would've been better had it remained at the £600/$600 price point, but even then it's not good enough of an upgrade over the S20 FE.

Verizon must be getting truckloads of S24 FE at very low prices from Samsung.

I am not American, but is this offer something special there?
I live in Germany and paying just a small amount for the phone itself when choosing a plan is common. In many cases it is even cheaper to get a plan together with the phone than just buying the phone alone. But prices are ridiculous in recent years.

cp6uja1988, 12 Oct 2024I checked those plans. They are 66$ a month. So 36 x 66 = ... moreIts not better in Serbian carriers braticu.

Before I address the puerile text I just wish to comment on my UK experience of my network (tenuous at best)

I cannot wait another 5 months fir this contract to end. A 5G phone on 5G network, when sometimes it drops to 4G I lose ALL Internet, apparently many reports of this. Once my phone was doing nothing on 4G, I borrowed a 4G phone on another network to complete the task, only when 5G returned did service.

Says a lot about its value lmao

Lmao a phrase you use a lot however my A = AU*I** not A** and can you?

It's really sad. no tragic infact that you still don't get it

"Monthly payments shown are for customers who qualify to pay $0 Down, $0.00/mo for 36 months after bill credit, was $18.05/mo: 0% APR. Retail price: $649.99."

Networks Airtime and handset cost. In contract the monthly cost are these two combined in this case over 36 month (that is why people are INSTRUCTED to covert to a Sim Only contract when the contract ends as to continue is to pay a paid off handset.

36 X $18.05 maths $649.80 Verizon one network is offering this, or purchase it for $649.99 (which according to you would be free also?

Your value to anyone reading your text is again in the negative

Says a lot about its value lmao,
Nobody reading 7 words would make a connection to S24 FE! You text for text sake.
