Only you miss Titanium material otherwise no big difference except the software. Most of the Rings Software are still in their early stages hence you won’t see much difference.

I already have R18 Ring ($25) which is making random numbers and today received an update. I do not see Samsung Ring of any use unless it can detect BP, ECG, Body Temperature. Sleep tracking and activity tracking is useful but you already have watch for that. You do not need another device just for these two alone.

      On seeing the bland image & knowing the prices, I predict not many will purchase it now.

      Also, I'm making a prediction:- Future rings will have a display for time & step count.
      Maybe just 40-50 pixel wide, but yes.

Sure part of it is software development for the app and firmware which is pretty bad there, but that can't possibly be half of the price of the ring. It's mostly "Because it's Samsung and because they can".

            They are not for eveyone as the fold phones are not for everyone.

              sanshiro, 14 Oct 2024This product is a flop. Nobody talks about it. Because it's stupid expensive. All these rings shouldn't cost more than 150€. Sure they are small, but they literally have less battery, no display, no vibration motors, no speakers, nothing. Them costing as much as smartwatch with all that just makes no sense at all.
