Anonymous, 15 Oct 2024Vivo X Fold3 Pro has a Imfrared Blaster, mode switch, more ... moreThe X Fold3 Pro also has a worse Software, worse customer service (at least in the west), is thicker and crucially has no stylus support. Which makes the difference between a phone with an optional bigger screen and a small pocketable tablet that also replaces your phone.

    evidently you can.

Anybody spot the elephant NOT in the room.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2024Vivo X Fold3 Pro has a Imfrared Blaster, mode switch, more ... moreThe 2024 Olympics is the one with the highest attendance of all time, by a wide margin.
You can hate GREEK culture as much as you like, the world doesn't hate it. They even beat the basketball attendance record from Atlanta '96.

does the fold sell well to bring a new version

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2024No interesting, just buy Vivo x fold 3 proVivo X Fold3 Pro has a Imfrared Blaster, mode switch, more tactile feel and cheaper price at higher ram/rom capacity.

Samsung is basically rebranding an existing phone all because of the failure that is the sacrilege of Paris Olympics Launch Campaign...

Vivo chose to bring more to the market without the Olympics.

PepperPot, 15 Oct 2024I'm interested to see how it looks, but the crease is ... moreLOL.

I'm interested to see how it looks, but the crease is mostly a problem for spec chasers that don't actually own a foldable. I'm also not sure this addresses the durability because the crease will still use a thin layer of glass.

Personally, I have more of an interest in their solid state batteries.

Imagine there was S25U with a foldable screen for 3000euro, it would be worth waiting for discount, since that kind of device would be at least 7 years future proof considering foldable competition now.

So probably just very thin fold with a good looking 200 on main camera and laughable zoom.
Nothing to envy, maybe body/screen aspect ratios only.
No competition in the west, no need to bring something else, when ''folding brick'' does the trick.
They are also on their way to release 3-fold next year (whatever poor hw - no expectations from me), so no need to bring so many at once.
You could argue, why SE if you paid for new fold so much thinking its the most premium tech... well, it wasn't...
But why they do it... its even hard to spot a difference in hw between folds, thats so hard...

That's good news that they can make the crease as minimally visible but why not have that on all the folds?
Consumers will feel bothered after spending $1700+ for the regular version and having a bigger crease, bc it shows Samsung is capitalizing on anything they can.
I am not a fold owner and probably never will but I can see Samsung living long enough to be a villainous troll.
