Big deal when it's still USB2.0 and there are way more accessories for lightning.

Both have about them same speed (20-26W), neither are fast.
"+8gb ram and A18 SoC"
It's an iPhone, RAM barely matters, A15 isn't exactly slow.
"+screen brightness"
If that really matters just get an Oppo/OnePlus or vivo phone, otherwise both are bright enough.
"+software support"
Doesn't make sense to keep a worse phone for longer, it just doesn't. Plus I'm sure 13 series is still good for 3-4 years and what more do you really want?

If you want the 256GB model of the 16 Plus, it's £999. You might as well upgrade to the 256GB 16 Pro at the point as it's only £100 different and you get an extra camera and 120Hz. Apple are crafty.

No reason to go for the 15 Plus, really. That being said, the 16 Plus is also not a good value unless you REALLY want an iPhone and for some reason do not want to get the 15 Pro Max for pretty much the same price
