    Simply put, 5G is not necessary, especially in the ultra budget market where a lot of the sales are to countries that have no or limited 5G networks.

            Nowdays even a 5G phones under 100 can and do exist.
            People can afford a decent phone for 100 or 150.

              The Ultras look nice, distinct and polished. They look unique and have a certain charm. The Pro models seem to be blending in with the budget models. Even last year's x100 pro looked fine because the back was curved and it was easier to differentiate between budget models and flagship models. Not anymore. I don't understand how you don't get the point you're just getting mad for no reason we're on the same team

                  So, decent LCD can surely be found today for less than that.
                  Budget phone ($100-150) has no excuse to have screen that is lower quality than 2013 phone like first moto G.

                  I have so far usrd 4 phones with LCD.
                  1 low end, 2 low midranges, 1 flagship.
                  G34 screen of my unit was far worse than them all.

                  I don't know if my unit had any defect. But screen was too bad.
                  Impossible to properly watch video on it.

                    Natios with much lower levels of development.
                    Places where majority of people cannot even pay $200 for phone.
                    5G SoCs cost more than 4G.
                    Brands can sell phones at lower prices with 4g only hardware.

                    Far cheaper to use unisoc t606 than SD480

                        It does not matter for me same design past many years a Samsung Apple Google and Sony use is a no for me.
                        You say thise ohines are like cheap redmi phone but said A3 looks like last Reedmi Ultra which definitely aint cheap.

                                And they are really IPS, saw their boxes and even the viewing angles are like on a IPS, and that is the only positive thing about them.

                                My displays are home are both from LG, and panels they have are also made by LG.

                                    And not only that, at my work we have some cheapo displays with IPS and they look HORRIBLE, meanwhile I have 2 IPS monitors at home and they look totally fine.

                                    As for OLED, didn't see many poor OLED screens in phones yet, but I did in TVs and a bad OLED is worse than a good (not even excellent) IPS.

                                    People should judge a screen per device, it's better that way.
