Bit of a shame really, HTC have had to bump up the price of this handset due to the quality of the build, although there are white rubbery strips down the sides of it, it feels just like a HTC One though, the OS doesn't lag whatsoever and everything works as it should.
This version of sense has been great.
Problem for me here is the obvious lack of development which will follow and the price, it should have been a £250 device. Half the price of the one for half of the kit.
That would have made better sense to me, but then again, people will see the price and run a mile, once HTC realises this the price will drop.

Both phones are unibody and alum... moreThe iPhone 5 is going to current for the next 3-4 years, this One Mini probably won't even get Key Lime Pie, the iP5 destroys the One Mini in the performance bracket too, the PowerVR SGX544 destroys the adreno 305 and the iPhones CPU is a lot more optimized.
The iPhone 5 also has a better camera and better battery life along with an optimized fleshed out app store that will have apps developed around it for the next 3 years.
But buy the HTC One Mini guyz! !1!!!!1!1!111

Ultimate disappointment for 300++ money wasted.
Rather save even more for his big brother.

i'm htc user,,
I think, the price is too expensive,, that's right..
but, one think that make this phone expensive is the very nice design, there are many phones with better specs than this htc one mini, but no one of them have good design to make them 'pantas' to be premium phone..
// one day i'll buy this phone :)

when compared this to ip5. Both phones are unibody and aluminum. This has larger screen and higher resolution. better design, better OS and half the price. I think those who think of buying iphone should buy this

What's this new trend of releasing stripped down mini versions with a price tag of the big ones, it's crazy and like the s4 mini in Europe it is cheaper than the US unlocked version.
Where's the logic behind all of this nonsense, do they all got the Iphone fever or something all of a sudden?

The difference is if you want to get into the Apple ecosystem you have no choice but to buy one. But if you want into the Android ecosystem there are many more choices that are less expensive and better spec'ed than the One Mini.
Think about it. It's only $100 less than the full size One. Lesser processor, smaller screen, half the RAM, worse battery, less memory, no IR blaster, no NFC, no OIS. Not trying to bash the One Mini, it looks to be a decent phone. But it should be priced for what it is (and with the competition in mind). It's a $350-400 USD range phone trying to fetch $560. Good luck with that, HTC.

It is very expensive compared to the competition. I could get the Xperia SP (arguably a better phone) for $360 right now in the US. Meanwhile the HTC One Mini is $560. Madness...
