Xiaomi is fine, their Redmi flagship-killer lines are good and HyperOS is pretty good too despite being in a very early stage (where parts of the code still refer to it as MIUI 15) and its actual form will be revealed with the 2.0 release.

Realme is not trash. Most of their lineup is very good, with few exceptions in the entry level segment but that's to be expected. Realme UI is also good, so it's up to personal preference when it comes to software given that both offer a very usable experience, with different aesthetics that appeal to different tastes.

Realme has been on a roll this year, launching multiple smartphones, including the GT 6 and GT 6T. Now, the company is gearing up for the release of the GT 7 Pro, which is expected to feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. While the GT 7 Pro is set to debut in China this October, top tipsters suggest that the phone will arrive in India by November. With its high-end specs, the GT 7 Pro is likely to be a major addition to Realme's premium lineup, continuing the brand's aggressive launch strategy.

They can unbox it in a lava pit.
It will still be the same unbuyable e-trash.
Remember kids only buy Xiaomi and you won't regret it.

              But why?

Even with IP69 (yes it exists), I wouldn't dip my into a pool filled with chlorine and piss or the ocean filled with salt water.

IP rating is only tested with plain water, and wear and tear after a few years will compromise the device anyways.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2024totally correct ... dummy phone unboxed ... they dont know ... moreThat was what I was thinking. They never even turned the phone on.
Anyway, phone have had IP68 protection for almost a decade now so it's hardly revolutionary.

[deleted post]totally correct ... dummy phone unboxed ... they dont know how to produce honest ads

Based on the major improvement in hardware such as: chipest(snapdragon elite)
                            Huge battery (6500mah)
                            water resistant (ip68/69)
                            Telephoto 1/1.95
                            Probably aluminum frame
The price is expected to be at least 150€ higher then the realme gt 6 (priced 600€ at launch).
If that's the case will people really pay for that?

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2024I just find it ridiculous, nobody is diving with phones. Be... moreYeah, but leave it with no IP rating and people will instantly shіt on it.

I just find it ridiculous, nobody is diving with phones. Been to many beaches and people just put their stuff in bags before going close to the water. If u wanna innovate make them modular and custom rom friendly

They're getting really elaborate in their videos!! 🙀
