Genshin impact could run 120fps on the highest setting without throttle (leaked test by dcs), and that GT7Pro emulator played 3A game with a stable 60 fps. Unlike PC that has an active cooling, phones manufacture must enhance their performance while keeping the heat below 50°C passively. be patient.

Look up the game test result. 41°C 60 fps while drawing 6W in wuthering waves is insane. 42°C 60 fps playing genshin also only draw 4.4 watts. The peak power wouldn't matter since oem won't allow the soc to reach that far

            Xiaobai's Tech Reviews just posted the Snapdragon 8 Elite geekbench and peak watts on multicore , i was shocked.... it peaked 16W , thats very high.... , to put into perspective the 8 gen 3 peaks 6W ....

                That's because the 8 gen 2 is a SMALL phone chip, Qualcomm properly pushed the thermals, watch Geekerwan's videos to see what I mean, qualcomm pushed the phone to the point of diminishing returns, unless they made a new chip tailor-made for laptops, it'd have been impossible.

                Again, it's like the CUDA cores used by NVIDIA or the Compute Units/CUs used by AMD, they just dumped more and overclocked the memory. Everywhere I go I see the mention of "12 cores" when talking about the X Elite. And I did some digging.

                It seems like you're correct, it's BASED ON the mobile chip, but it isn't a simple overclock, and as i said, there's other stuff. For example, the L2 cache is nearly 5x larger, VRAM is 2x large, and so on. You can't just say it's an overclocked phone GPU.

If they are different gpu it's your turn to disprove it.

                  That is earlier report before they changed name, cpu was known as 8cx gen 4 and gpu as Adreno 740.

                          jiyen235, 6 hours agosource on this claim? i can't seem to find any news re... moreIt was reported all time, all leaks said it will base on adreno 740 and if you look at specification they are almost same bar clock speed, they have same 1536 Alu, divided in to 6 cores of 256, if you take Adreno 740 which is Around 680mhz and scale it to 1.25/1.5Ghz perfomance is same for both gpu.

                              One interesting bit from latest Geekerwan video was the improvement in actual applications. In particular the Speedometer browser test results. Apple used to beat Qualcomm by almost twice the performance. But now the gap has closed almost completely and they are basically the same. This is a very exciting generation of Android SoCs.

                                its this video...... since X200 pro is still not in global market the reviews are not in english yet but this video has english caption and thermal and result charts are in english so you can undrstand them even tho the guy isnt talking any english

SD9E performs better than D9400 and A18pro in those benchmarks. my comment was based on those tests. not the claims in the article.

                                      Seeing as Qualcomm already provide speed-binned chips at the fast end with a higher clock rate - first with the Plus chips, now the "for Galaxy" ones - surely it could launch some at the slower end when launching on a new process node that would presumably start with some lower yields out of the gate? A downclocked 8 Elite, even with a core or two missing, would probably still offer a lot to the average user, including and especially battery life...

                                        As their favourite brand is losing, Geekbench will release a new version of their software that will put iPhone back on top. It won't be the first time they do this.

                                        Meanwhile, Antutu has been consistent with their benchmark. With the goal post not moving, iPhones are losing very badly there.
