DaFink, 27 Oct 2024Using multiple apps at once?…how? I’ve used Android for man... moreI've never used it myself either and I use both Iphone and Android (one for daily driver and backup), but I know someone who did and used it pretty much every single time and extensively. He's a businessman spliting the screen between managing emails and using browser. I don't think most people use it, but the one who do really need it.

If you’re talking about split screen, then sure. Never found that to be useful myself though.

DaFink, 22 Oct 2024So...What kind of crazy, super computing, mad science is it... moreUsing multiple apps at once. Emulating consoles or even Windows. Editing 4K60 videos. The first two things aren't really a thing on iPhones and that's the thing, they technically have more power, but lack the ability to actually use it to it's full extent.

Vegetaholic, 25 Oct 2024Yeah Candy triple AAA crushyeah candy crush with ray tracing and Ai function so u no longer control the game anymore let ai do the gaming lmao

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2024And some here doubt " 8g5" can reach 5GHz Lol, you people are so naive. It can reach 10ghz... For 1 sec for what it matters, for marketing reasons. It will run 4.3ghz for like 10 seconds until it will fry itself. It's all marketing, it will never run 4.3ghz for more longer than some seconds, it all thermally limited, unless of course you will carry an ice bag with your phone everywhere so maybe you will be able to hit 4.3ghz for for 1min or so while playing candy crush 🙂

Luke, 23 Oct 2024I think we need to see what price drop S24U will get on bla... moreWhere I live (Venezuela, South America) you'll find a new 256 GB model for USD 950-1,200 depending on where you buy it and a couple other factors. The contract route doesn't exist here, so I'd have to buy it outright.

But either way, when it launches, I'm looking at a 20-40% overprice when it reaches these neck of the woods. (For reference, PS5 Pro has just launched for 1.2K here).

Rhoodin, 23 Oct 2024Disagree with what you just said and the link you provided ... moreNo one said power consumption didn't increase, it's just you guys said 8 gen 3 consume 6W which isn't true. At peak 8 gen 3 use 17W.

Hemedans, 23 Oct 2024Geekerwan use lot of benchmarks, GB 5, 6, spec2017 etc. Eac... moreDisagree with what you just said and the link you provided actually proves your observation is wrong. Check the results on the link you have given.

You can't compare GB5 power draw with GB6 Power draw. They are different benchmarks.
Compare GB5 to GB5 and GB6 to GB6 of last 2 gen socs. And then compare GB6 of Dimensity 9400, its quite clear that these new socs draw even more power than last gen.
Another observation is that there is an increase in power consumption with each generation.

                            GB 5:
                            SD Gen 2 : 11w+
                            SD Gen 3: 15w+
                            Dimensity 9200: 11w+
                            Dimensity 9300: 17w+

                            GB6:
                            SD Gen 2 : 8w+
                            SD Gen 3: 11w
                            Dimensity 9200: 9w+
                            Dimensity 9300: 12w+
                            Dimensity 9400: 18w+

Wheather its GB5 or GB6, both simply proves the increasing power consumption with every generation. Based on this, safe to say Dimensity 9400 and SD Elite will most likely have higher power draw than last gen SoCs.

Rhoodin, 23 Oct 2024Check this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GkJCWncZ... moreGeekerwan use lot of benchmarks, GB 5, 6, spec2017 etc. Each benchmark has different results, GB 6 don't stress all cores, most of time don't show all core power usage, GB 5 do, so if you check GB 5 score you can see many flagship soc around 15-17W

That only Cpu, whole soc power usage will be more than that.

And here's how the OnePlus 13 performed during gaming:
Honor of Kings (Highest Settings):OnePlus 13 maintained a frame rate of 120.5fps at a mere 3W power consumption, while Dimensity 9400 reached 120.7fps at 3.8W and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 managed 114.6fps at 4.28W.
                                      Marvel Snap (Highest Settings):OnePlus 13 delivered 59.8fps at 4.07W, compared to Dimensity 9400's 59.3fps at 5.35W and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's 56fps at 6.6W with noticeable heat.
                                      Genshin Impact:OnePlus 13 natively supports 120fps, delivering a near-perfect 121fps with only 5.4W power consumption.

Its thermal management is exceptional, keeping the device cool even under intense gaming sessions.
