We thought of sharing the vivo X200 Pro's battery test results with you while you wait for its full review.

It's a bit underwhelming. Looking at how much more efficient dimensity 9400 is(based on geekerwan tests) and 600mAh bigger battery, i was expecting better results. Especially the call time is surprisingly low considering enormous size of the battery. Seems like some software issue.
It doesn't make any sense that Z60 Ultra has mostly better battery life on older chip with the same battery size.

the software optimization codes and tools are there in the phone but the phone cant really use it and vivo does not care that much
the main problem is that you cant really make the processor do everything alone while having no surge on your power usage that is why honor uses 3 different extra chip for security//battery and power management//camera management in the magic 6 pro and we saw the amazing result while using 4nm 8gen3 and 5600mAh ....... vivo needs to develop its own chip for battery management at least

X200 Pro has the better hardware, but it worse optimized than X100 Pro. With photos it's the same, they're too oversharpened.

You used the overall "active" use score, without going into the details. The call active usage score is pretty much useless because it doesn't really matter in real life yet contributes hugely to the overall score. From personal experience, it doesn't really matter, i've used a number of phones and talked for hours, the battery drain is pretty much similar, +- 1 or 2% points maybe.

but conditions are way different that people are mistaking it
you gotta include the higher rendering resolution and other factors too
including all changes the 9400 is pretty efficient

Si/C will not necessarily provide higher density than Li-ion.

It is shocking to see people today have so much difficulty to read and understand even simple phrases.

Iphone 16pm uses 4,51mAh / min. Vivo is using almost 50% power than iphone.

Glenico353, 8 hours agojerem06 is probably comparing it to the iPhone 16 Plus whic... morecomparing iOS devices to android is stupid unless they use the exact same browsers and stuff, which isn't realistic either. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Plus is a 60 hz phone, a better comparison would've been with the 16 Pro Max. And besides, iPhones just have better battery life in the first few months/tests, let's see the tests after 6 months.... Speaking from personal experience, iPhone batteries get nuked by software SUPER HARD. These numbers are only good for gaining new consumers, they're NOT good for consumers unless they switch each year.

Apart from Sony, Samsung and Nothing, no one really has cracked the code to better overall battery life without resorting to huge batteries. Vivo seems to have bruteforced it properly but credit where credit is due, their optimizations year over year are also paying their dividends, maybe the FHD+ screen is helping but we don't know for sure.

the real problem is upgrading from 720p rendering to 810p
if it had the same resulotion from last years phone it would be much much more efficient

Anonymous, 8 hours agoLet's do the math fanboys .. Simple one you all can m... moreSi/C tech isn't properly mature yet, look at the X100 Ultra vs the X100 Pro (this could also be down to SoC/display res difference tho tbh) and the X Fold3 Pro's huge battery not leading to a huge advantage.

The Magic6 Pro is one of the only chinese flagships to have great gaming performance but look at the video streaming/web browsing tests and compare those to the Oneplus 12, that phone is QHD compared to the FHD+ of the Magic6 Pro AND has a 200 mah smaller battery.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Si/C has lower battery life numbers per mah compared to past tech but it's improving at a significant rate.

                              For a 6000mah battery, isn't that impressive.

Firstly, this is Origin Os, not FunTouch.
Secondly, GSMArena's Active use score does not put sleep mode into consideration.
Hence, it's not accurate *yet*. The phone will have to be optimised.
