Anonymous, 25 Oct 2024Bootloader unlockers aren't gonna buy a niche device.well that's the whole point, their products are already niche so giving it the ability to be bootloader unlocked adds some interest to some folks with technical knowhow users specially their update policy is crap where some of their phones never even got an update or os upgrade even once. they drop support instantly if certain model don't meet the amount sales.

Now, they give more than that. Heck, even Infinix and Tecno cleaned up their act and been improving. No excuses for TCL not to do the same since their devices arent exactly cheap.

            Yeah if you like updates stay away from this company, I remember I had a TCL 20R 5G never got updated once out the box from the time I had it.

                            Wow, they really dumped the 40 series just like that.

                                Do not buy a TCL. I bought my wife one 2 years ago and it never received a single update of any kind. Nothing.

                                No android update, no UI update, no security updates. Nothing

                                Thankfully she accidently dropped it in the sink full of water so it's broken now.
