Most brands are switching to domestic ultrasonic fingerprint sensors which have just become available and are far cheaper (Vivo x100 ultra was the first domestic ultrasonic i think).

                    223 grams in the hand/ pocket ...😂the photo block also protrudes a lot... not practical in the hand, in terms of handling/weight distribution

                                Dead on arrival, just like most Realme phones. Then again, their task within BBK corporation is not to earn money and make buyers happy, but to troll industry rivals and confuse buyers so they would buy less of the competition and more from BBK. They care more to counter Redmi 14 with Realme 14 than how to make Realme 14 a good product. They wpuld replace it with Realme 15 in 6 months anyway
                                And same story goes here, they just want to offer a phone which will counter new Xiaomi high class phones, it doesnt matter if it is not well rounded. They will introduce a newnone in 6 months, like we got gt6 and gt7 this year. Or if BBK deems they are not needed, they will pause high class phones for several years, just like they did up to this year.

They gave it an expen... moreis this phone getting the small/S24U sized sensor or the large/X90 Pro+ sized sensor? If it gets the large sensor then this trade is WORTH IT! If not, then JUST WHY?? It's not like this is a cheap phone.

                                    The display being from Samsung could lead to better efficiency like lower power/heat output, but even IF that's the case, it doesn't seem like Samsung has a lead anymore in terms of displays so this price premium they're supposedly giving Samsung seems all for naught. I mean the BOE X200 Pro display is exceptional and the battery life is great as well.

                                    Dunno what Realme's trying to pull, maybe they ordered a lot of Samsung displays because everyone else is using BOE so BOE might not have the capacity for additional Realme displays? Or maybe BBK brands ordered SO MANY displays that they're getting diseconomies of scale, higher cost per display sold. These are the only reasons i can think of.

                                      Wow, these companies think people are fools. They keep Downgrading Cameras and upgrading prices.

                                      GT2 Pro from 2022 had 32MP Front Camera and 50MP UW Camera. 1/1.5 inch main camera.
                                      GT5 Pro from 2023 had 32MP Front camera,1/1.4 inch main camera + 1/1.5 inch 3x zoom camera. But downgraded the UW Camera to 8MP. Wow.

                                      Now GT7 Pro has downgraded it further to a 16MP Front Camera and Downgraded 8MP UW Camera. And if GSMA is too be believed then, also downgraded main camera to a 1/2 inch sensor.

                                      Ridiculous joke.

They gave it an expensive Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a Samsung screen but still cut back on the ultrawide. A Jn1 could hardly cost much more than $5 judging by replacement costs. Personally don't care about the ultrawide as I hardly ever used it but even for marketing purposes I thought they might do away with the 8mp one
