    I hope it's fake, I wish it looked more like the mate 60 than the mate 50

      I definitely miss the Mate 50 series camera island a lot. It's great to see it coming back.

        I'm a big fan but sorry Huawei, the design looks boring and old. There is nothing in this phone that makes me want to buy it over competition

                      In the Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design, Huawei maintains its iconic octagonal lens setup. The camera cover includes four prominent lens openings arranged in a square alongside a total of five smaller cutouts for the flash module lasers and additional sensors such as color temperature lenses.The other three models in the series are expected to feature rounded camera modules, marking a departure from the previous generation’s layout. While the exact arrangement of lenses and sensors differs slightly across models, Huawei is likely aiming to upgrade the camera experience by providing a bigger camera module with a quad-camera setup, as indicated by early images and leaks.

                        Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024Gotta protect Apple and Samsung who love 30W and 45W fast c... moreThe Huawei effect can be seen in Samsung improving their phones consistently and considerably for years, look at the S20 Ultra, has the same sized sensors as the P40 Pro basically, one has better zoom lenses the other has a better UW cam.

                        Then look at the S24 Ultra, the main camera has not made an improvement in size in Samsung apart from some MP jump that's so small overall that it could also be just counted as an ISP/processing algorithm improvement instead of sensor improvement.

                        Same can be said of Apple, they made consistent jumps in camera quality/quantity from the X till the 14 Pro Max. Then they became stagnant cus Huawei aint there anymore. They designed these stuff like years prior so they just wanted to get the 14 Pro Max out early so as to not redesign/redo R&D, otherwise i'm sure they'd have just taken 4 more years to do what the 14 Pro Max did.
