My Xiaomi Note 10 Pro MIGHT do with an upgrade, but when I need ultrawide sweep panoramas, not only can I not use it at all, but can I find a Xiaomi, a bright shiny new one, or a Huawei, or an Oppo, or a Samsung or Google that is able to do ultrawide panoramas at all? No, I am stuck with the thought that I must buy an iPhone, because all iPhones with ultrawide lenses can make sweep panoramas with them, whereas no droid can seem to manage anything so cool, so necessary, so de rigueur, because you cant use the main wide to do sweeps in confined spaced like rooms, or in natural settings like the woodland glades I specialize in, having to use an obsolete LG7 Thinq as it is the only one (with the V35) that can do them at all.

I really hoped to see a -10cm zoom telephoto sensor so this could be the successor to my Xiaomi 13 Pro... Too bad, but hey, Xiaomi 14 Ultra has it at least... Let's see if floating telephoto will make a return by 3 years or so because that's likely when I'll swap phones haha

You can't use DAC wirelessly because not enough data bandwidth to run. That's why LG never removed the 3.5mm audio jack on their V-series smartphones because they know the built-in Quad DAC only works with the jack.

Snap 8 Elite is a great upgrade over Gen3.
As for Xiaomi 15 Pro:
- if you want the best in photography you wait of Xiaomi, Vivo or Oppo models in Q2/2025
- If you want to run real AI models locally on your phone, you wait for OnePlus 13 with 24GB RAM (LLMs are highly RAM constrained)
If you want to play roulette with Xiaomi actually making HyperOS into a nice AOSP variant, and supporting your model, then go ahead and buy 15 pro.
At any rate, I'd personally at least wait for proper reviews of OnePlus13 vs Xiaomi 15 Pro, before I decided.

Still a mistake to compare it with a flagship-level OLED though.

Try listening to audio through wired headphones while at the same time charging the phone without headphone jack.
Also in case of blackout it's always good to have audio jack and FM radio feature

Vivo x200 series has the edge our them in value for money. Specially x200 pro mini is so much better than the xiaomi 15
