While I like what Xiaomi is doing with the cameras, their software is absolute garbage and their hardware not only misses basic features, it's all ridiculously OVERSIZED.
Easy pass for me.

Xiaomi is still operating in russia and selling products to russian terrorist population, so NO! I am not going to buy a Xiaomi phone, not that i even could, as all of the major retailers here in Finland have removed Xiaomi’s products from their shelves because of russias illegal actions in Ukraine.

I just want Zenfone Lite or something with a 7+G3 or D8300U or even D8200 would be just fine, we don't need the latest bleeding edge chip ffs!!
I hated it when thet gatekeep like this, and make dinner things only accessible at higher price points, like compact phones, fricking USB. 3.2 type-C instead of the 2 decade old USB2.0, and Samsung with their S-Pen, I loved the Note FE and then the Note 10 Lite bringing the stylus to lower price points.

potato4k, 03 Nov 2024Here's the thing. Once you're competing in $1000 ... morethe hyper OS is actually quite improved and battery efficient. After using a xiaomi for a year I can recommend that. The only drawback is that it their OS lacks lockdown option which exists on android natively but for whatever reason, xiaomi removed it. Idk why

FredrickX, 03 Nov 2024For a relatively compact phone, Xiaomi 15 does offer pretty... moreMaybe just like Chinese EV cars are heavily supported by chinese government in Europe.
This could be the same thing.
Apple or better to say USA does not support Apple company and Apple as always thinks they are bette brand they can sell more expensive.
This is no lnger true.
Would buy Xiaomi 15 pro over any Apple device anytime a day.

I would buy it n... moreBro the S25 ultra apart the S pen will be worse at everything mostly the battery and charging speeds along with ram and One UI is the greatest bloatware among all other UIs greatly slowing the phone due to 150+ apps running on backround.

Here's the thing. Once you're competing in $1000 segment, specs no longer matter, because everyone will have the best parts and components they can put into the phone. Software becomes an important selling point. And no, Xiaomi's iOS imitation won't convince people they're worth the same $1000 price.

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2024I like this new trend of bigger batteries in a smaller phon... moreyes a lot of chinese flagships are packing higher capacity this year, so that's a considerable upgrade there (unlike samsung which is mostly stagnant since a while)
I like when manufacturers work on meaningful upgrades for a phone rather than increasing specs as usual which, beyond a point, are useless to an average consumer

The vanilla 15 is impressive, but I am far more interested in a compact phone in the mid-range (edge 50 neo, pixel 7/8a etc) rather than a premium compact flagship
