Nothing Ear (open) review

02 November 2024
Nothing's first open wearable stereo (OWS) buds deliver all-day comfort and won't fall out of your ears.

I love my Nothing Ear (open). They do not lack bass, although it may not be as deep as in-ear headphones. The sound quality is excellent and the comfort is unparalleled. They fit my ears well and stay in place, but this is individual, as with all headphones.

I'm surprised that the reviewer did not look up how these should be worn. The way is shown in the image above is certainly guaranteed to get a bad seal as they sit in the wrong spot on the ear, actually blocking and deflecting the speaker output. For reference look at nothing's website... just saying. Unless of course the photo above is just a head model for pictures ;)

Terrible Design. They looks like ancient hearing aids.

Reminder that "notafanboy" is indeed a fanboy and will shill for Nothing's cruddy products.

For 150 euros you could buy a set of IEMs that's better than any true wireless earbud out there from cheap to twice the price mentioned. And yeah it might be that they're wired but there are some crazy hybrid ones like the bvgp q3 that's both a tws iem and a normal wired iem, and there's also ear hook adapters that can turn any iem into a wireless pair like the fiio adapters. And with foam tips you also get way better sound isolation and better bass. There's literally no reason to buy 'wireless buds' from any of the mainstream brands when you can get a superior listening experience for way cheaper.

                  Worthy consideration? Lol
150 euro for buds that are specifically designed for secure on the ear and while they do manege to not fall they move around the canal to cause both losing sound and sound leakage...
                  No bass and average talks...
I assume it would be a great deal around 30 euro and somewhat acceptable around 50 but 150? Come on GSMArena.
You don't feel them - comfortable
But you don't hear them either!

I'd never buy a Nothing product. The first time I ordered direct from them and they sent me the wrong frickin' product! How does that even happen? I've never had it happen with any other company. And then trying to get a refund out of them was so bad that I had to ask my credit card company to intervene. Again, I've never had to resort to that before.
