              This looks cool. Meaningful upgrades but no apparent downgrades from the predecessor.

              Compared to iQOO 13, looks like a more balanced and better value-for-money package (if they manage to keep the same price as its predecessor, i.e. 2999 yuan for 12+256).

              Major differences from iQOO 13:

              Display - lower resolution, but 1260p is good enough
              Processor - Dimensity 9400 is not that far from 8 Elite in terms of performance and efficiency
              Telephoto - The pointless 2x telephoto gone, so not a big deal

              Lack of IP68/69 rating may be something of a disadvantage, but higher usability due to lower weight and absence of curved display (hopefully) should make up for it.

                the IQOO 13's cameras have been nuked so hard, the IQOO Neo series actually is starting to look a LOT better, quite interested in seeing if this goes global. For a "gaming" phone to have a 50 MP UW cam is absurdly cool imo.
