The bigger pro models has way more competitors, Oneplus, Vivo, Oppo etc, where as the vanilla 15 only has couple of rival, X200PM, Google.

For you there is no such thing as preference. We should all just buy the same size in everyhing, right? Well of course.

Some people clearly want a smaller factor Smartphone and that's a fact you ignore because you personally like bigger form factor.

Thanks for your opinion. Have a great day and enjoy mocking people because they made a different choice then you.

6,3-6,4 display is the ideal size. For normal users at least. I understand that there is a minority that wants phablets and does put the huge displays in good use. But there are dozens of options. Unfortunately, devices with regular-sized displays are scarse, are SUPER expensive and are usually handicapped compared to their giant siblings. Xiaomi 15 with a properly large battery seems like a good step. I only wish it had the 5x telephoto. And I hope they also produce a normal sized mid-ranger or at least upper mid-ranger.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2024So many small handed individuals. You assume it's just hand size? I don't want giant ANYTHING in my pockets all day. Whether it's car keys, wallet or phone, I want these things to be smaller and lighter. I don't need a 7" slab in there all day.

I have had my eyes on the 15 Pro for a long time. But since the bootloader is locked and we can't buy a 15 Pro outside China, I have had to go with the OnePlus 13.
It's a shame because I have been super happy with my current Xiaomi phone and the Xiaomi EU community.

                      Not your gigantic slab

Little did the Android manufacturer know. Android users would rather stick with their current smartphone than getting a new one. Some Would take 5 years until they decided to change their smartphone into a new one. Especially for the fact that ANDROID 11 and BEYOND SUCKS!
I have an S23 Ultra Running on Android 14. Before that. I was using a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I decided to change my smartphone after 6 years because some of its components are starting to malfunction. I thought that by buying a New Smartphone would allow me to use the apps that I wanted at 120FPS. And I would not face any APP INCOMPATIBILITY ISSUES because of the 32BIT - 64BIT API. Turns out I WAS WRONG!
Now, that I have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 android smartphone. I could say it will take me a DECADE before I decided to buy a new android smartphone.

Normally the guy who have small D want something big to show the world they are having big D. Everything must be big and big is better for them. But, in the end, the practicality and effect are not the one they seeking to. Called me with small or lady like hand for liking small form factor phone. In the end the practicality and effect is what I'm looking for. Not about the size 🙄

Big screen is good but heavy weight is not good. Give me Mi Max 4 under 160g.

I really hope with the Chinese copying each other in making a "smaller" phone, it can at least spark new interest in having a more compact device, especially globally. Majority of people already have a smartphone, and we are at peak smartphone. Making it larger and adding more cameras are not enticing. Hopefully there's a resurgence of people more interested in buying a more compact phone as a second or third device.
