              hmmmmmmmmm

Some Chinese phone companies like Oppo skip 4 when naming their phones because 4 means death in Chinese and it’s unlucky, and they honestly might be onto something because the iPhone 4, Galaxy S4, and Pixel 4 all had big issues. The iPhone 4 had antennagate, the Galaxy S4 had bloatware, and the Pixel 4 was just bad at everything.

China is the second biggest market for foldables. A market with the most growth for foldables. Oppo did what they needed to compete against other foldables with more sales.

Don't take it personal. I prefer the slimmer ratio of the Z. How is that working out for Samsung?

                              The difference isn't even 1 mm, it's 73.3-72.6 = 0.7 mm. 0.7 MM!!!!! Like, what??

The iPhone 16 Pro went from 6.1" to 6.3" whilst adding 0.9 mm of width, the Find N3 went from 5.54" to 6.31" whilst adding 0.7mm of width, and these guys complain about THAT?

you CAN say that the Find N3 is a tad too big and phones should be 65-69 mm in width at best, but it's just kinda stupid to complain about a problem that basically doesn't exist lol

snapdragon 8 elite is way too overkill for this, they should have put dimensity 700.

In fact, the passport form factor that you're so fond of had a very wide profile for a very short height, so there's no reason why you'd call a regular size huge while lusting over an extra wide but extra short form factor that no one uses anymore for good reason.

EDIT: If you're concerned about the 1mm extra width of the Find N3, then that itself will be resolved with a thinner frame, thinner hinge and thinner bezels that the N5 will undoubtedly have. A combination of all three will save you piece of mind. There's no need to be so annoyed when 18:9 is too wide of an aspect ratio to be useful anyway.

The source claims that it will be the most powerful foldable for the first half of 2025, it doesn't mention anything about the release date. It could release in Q1 and still be the most powerful foldable in July.

Oppo ruined the Find N when they changed it from a normally sized phone when closed that opens into a bigger screen (thus actually making a compelling argument for a foldable), to a giant oversized slab that opens into a bigger screen.

They made it as useless as all other foldables.
                                      Shame.
