can't wait for oxygen os vp1028769

Lel I thought there's a new phone series under V branding lel.

zanezonair, 10 Nov 2024Yes that. That is what I was referring to. Also fast ... moreI know it's rather safe and I'm with you about the 60W mark, it's well balanced for 4-6k mAh.
I wonder if the strain, yet shorter, could result in problem with the main board, some circuit and all. And could result in malfunction over time.
I'm a little bit paranoid too regarding these, yet I use Qi Charging since Samsung S7 haha and love it. It take some times but don't care 😂

GregLu, 10 Nov 2024I think you mention the merge of OS between Oppo and OnePlu... moreYes that.
That is what I was referring to.

Also fast charging is safe. It's been proven to be.
But if you wanna be on the safe side stay between 25-67w
25-80 is also probably fine but eh I know what its like to be paranoid as I am myself.

Point is fast charging is safe as the strain on the battery Is shorter.

Slow charging will degrade the battery more as the effect hits more on the long term.

Yes fast charging does make more heat but the batteries are equipped to deal with that.

zanezonair, 10 Nov 2024I'm not trying to **sigh** look. Yes oneplus has al... moreI think you mention the merge of OS between Oppo and OnePlus, at the start OnePlus was separate in design (altough a sub branch) and software.
Then the merge in software then the cryout all in western world about the trahison (with reason haha) and then the merge in hardware too with the same preset / tech inside. It's just more and more obvious since then, but was always the case, like Huawei/Honor before the ban :)
I can conccur about this experience, I have friends with 1 year+ OnePlus (10, 11) that have some problem perhaps due to update because at first it was flawless. I wonder if it's the same in China, perhaps not..
I wonder if this has something to do with the 'safe' fast charging in the long term. 😬

For some years OnePlus had it's own software department but that was ended time ago (since android 11).

Those updates are only for India.

notafanboy, 10 Nov 2024Interesting fake news, but for your information, Oneplus ha... moreI'm not trying to **sigh** look.

Yes oneplus has always been a sub brand but about 6 months after I got my op11 I heard about oppo buying out oneplus or something. I can't recall exactly.

I can't recall if it's true or not but regardless everything about the phone started to get worse after that point.

I'm just trying to state my experience with the phone.

zanezonair, 10 Nov 2024Yeah don't get me started. 4-5 months ago I swapped to... moreInteresting fake news, but for your information, Oneplus has always been an Oppo sub-brand.

                    Missing for CPH2851

                      8 series are supported still

Hiten, 09 Nov 2024Hope so it doesn't affect the phone in negative way. M... moreYeah don't get me started. 4-5 months ago I swapped to an a35 and it's kicking my op11's ***

First 6 months of my op11 were good. Then oops bought them out.
And then magically the phone started having massive heating issues.
Sent it in for repair. Didn't fix it.
Lowered a ton of settings. Didn't fix it.
Reset the phone. Didn't fix it.
Did an even heavier debloat didn't fix it.

The phone when it peaked at 42c felt like I was touching a desktop CPU without a cooler.

                        A35 at 42c? Feels like the op11 at 36c.

Honestly I regret buying the op11. I don't regret buying the oneplus pad though.

After getting this a35 I realsied how much I love Samsung's ui even if I loathe them as a company.

So I plan to keep this a35 for a year or two longer then get the set ultra and keep that until it's is updates go dry.

Oneppus tried to have a low power mode and graphics settings in its game tools. But it litterly doesn't do Jack.

                        Samsung?

I can cap the fps to 30 so I don't get eye strain.
I can lower the resolution so help games use less resources.
Its power saving mode hardly affects performance but actually helps to keeps the phone from overhesting and when combined with battery savers 70% CPU cap it just works wonders.

OnePlus pad potential but. Oppo in my eyes killed them.

Heck I booted up the phone to test it agsjn and within an hour.
The phone was at 14% from 94% and blazkng hot.
The phone is so bloated down that it can't handle it.

                        Its a flagship ffs.

1380 exynos in the a35 smashes the snapdragon I
8 gen 2 in efficiently that it absolutly baffles me.

                        But yeah that's my experience.
One plus died with the op11 and the oppo buyout. At least for me.

Hope so it doesn't affect the phone in negative way. Many times updates screws the phone.
