GregLu, 11 Nov 2024sadly, not much. XM5 are amongst the best but since Sony ha... moreThank you for your opinion.
So, every option on the market has a problem and neither can be awarded as a highest quality.
I've the JBL LivePro2 which are very nice as sound delivery. The microphone is working good too. The only issue with them is how the buds attach. When I smile, the buds are sticking moving outwards.

I am thinking of trying the Apple AirPod Pro 2. Apparently they work fine with Android.

    Not durable.
In 2 months I've changed two pairs and both had the same problem. Microphone issues with one of the buds...of to my 3rd and hopefully last one

I've got small ears and I love these new earbuds. Lovely peony pink colour which adds charm. Case is lovely and stylish in my opinion. I wish they sold ultra thin cases to protect it. Good noise cancellation, nice sound. The only drawback for me what that they make a sound when the battery is low, not great for a quiet office.

Well, I hoped a lot more comment here.
I wonder if it translate into sales and why perhaps they slashed the price in the US from 229 to 179.
I really hope they improve via software update but I wonder if it's possible.
The hardware with the chip and all is better as they say (ANC mainly), yet it's still picking some outdoor noise that my Buds FE achieve to cancel with passive ANC, with ANC on it's even better except in high note where as the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are better but lacks in other side of the notes sadly.
The transparent mode is better in the pixel (more natural) than Buds FE but considering they can be found for 60-70 EUR, they have similare codec/performance for more than half the price.
What are they thinking @ Google if they can deliver for the price asked?
I really wanted to love them, trust me 😭

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2024Try Freebuds Pro 3Thanks for the proposition!
I don't like the stem and the ANC on Freebuds 3 is a joke, also I don't like the sioze of the case but that's personnal.
I'd rather prefer try OnePlus Buds 3 Pro and I might but since the Dynaudio Tuning is apparently crap (Here and Reddit have some complain), it's hard to try!

123, 11 Nov 2024What others have similar size (the smaller, the better) wit... moresadly, not much. XM5 are amongst the best but since Sony has crippled by XM4 by pushing an update that cause a battery drain in one earbuds, I'm done with them. You can see reddit, there is a lot os user complaining and of coruse they had over 2 years, still in mint condition yet the software has killed them, couldn't use the left earbud more than 30 min before dropping to 0 and then charge for 5-10 min to have again 50-60% battery.
Buds 2 Pro from Samsung ?
the mic is better but it depend on the situation. Where there is a lot of wind, sometimes the voice during call is too robotic. That's why I searched for a replacement, and had high hope for Pixel Buds Pro 2. Such a shame that they launched it this way, it's like a half baked product. AGAIN 😭

So compared to the competition they're poor? Broken anc on a set of buds that costs twice as much as the competition?

Dadas, 10 Nov 2024Why is every reviewer using previous Pixel Buds as a yardst... moreThe Pixel Buds Pro are mentioned for the sake of comparison but are by no means the yardstick. The sound quality assessment is standalone and valid on its own.

                      I had them.
Coming from Sony WF1000-XM4 and Buds2Pro from Samsung.
                      Had high hopes for them.
Yet I had to return them.
The sound is not really good and no update about the mic that is sometimes good, sometimes really not. For call that's problematic ... Buds 3 Pro is the same although Samsung has stem. Comfort was better than Pixel 1
Really loved the size/form factor of the box and the eggshell finish but yes, for the color, they could have done something to the box haha!
What are they cooking RN with wearables?
Google can't justify this kind of price if they can't deliver in the software departement.
That's really a shame because the fit is nice and I really love the G logo since it's the first letter of my name haha.
Comme on Google, do better damn it!

jellydaemon, 10 Nov 2024Sound cancellation? Damn, cancel culture has gone too far 😔Even worse, people nowadays are even making active organization to cancel something similar. It's called Active Noice Cancellation.

Wow, that's Google and the Pixel's in a nutshell.
                          In one sentence, bravo.

Why is every reviewer using previous Pixel Buds as a yardstick and not what these should actually be? What do I care if they sound better than the previous iteration? Sound quality is just terrible, flat and tinny. Microphone is terrible in a place like gym or outdoors. So they basically fail on two main things they are meant to deliver. I don't care about their software at this point.

                              Sound cancellation?

My current earbuds are 10x less expensive and I have been wearing them 4hrs every day for two years.

                                You do you guys.

"interesting" to see the app recommends limiting "music festival" volume to just 4 minutes per week. This could be rather problematic at a music festival 😐

As if any iPhone user is going to want Google earbuds 🤔
