Smells vaporware. Something apparently aweomse ,with reviewers, journalists , all to make it real but no one to get one at decent price in the end.
A way to branding, that's about it.

MasEnha, 12 Nov 2024Except from technical properties, the only problem with M4 ... moreLOL, ask application developers how often do they have to rewrite code due to apple's new CPUs and OS patches :) then you will realize why that platform is just praised by people using 1-2 applications and browsing old pictures with swipe gestures :)

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2024Well, the Snapdragon ARM chipsets are first-gen products, a... moreThe new or older cheaper one's dont end up in these types of laptops. It's like advertising the new chips with these ARM based laptops to show off that your phone can have a chip that is in a laptop. Details and context dont matter for most people. Details and context matter only in special cases like where media needs to explain black to be white if it come to the party that lost the election.
In the end of the day these ARM based will still be just toys in comparison to real laptops.
Maybe in the future something 10 years as the software need to catch up with the rapid performance advancing with the flagship mobile chips. It's like in 2022 the flagship chips cross the 1 million score in Antutu and then 2023 crossed over 2 million and now in 2024 end it's already over 3 million score. While majority of devices still in use and working are around 150k up to like 700k in score of Antutu

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2024Well, the Snapdragon ARM chipsets are first-gen products, a... moreWindows on arm is very old from days of windows rt in 2012. Qualcomm had windows on arm in 2018 with sd 835 laptops. It'll probably take another 5 years for cheap high performing arm laptops. Currently there are some cheap minipc with win arm but they are like sd 778 level. Just ok for basic tasks and light gaming.

For me only at 300 euro makes these ARM laptops any point.
If these cost 700 euro or more then i would take few years old laptop with something i5/i7 with 16GB DDR4 and something like GTX1050/1060/1660 in the laptop or Ryzen 5/7
Or look something used for 2-3 years.

Dead on arrival, but i suppose that is the price of blindly following "industry trends" that are trends on executive's papers only. Noone buys snapdragon powered laptops, even from far more established brands in this field.
