Their repair assistance thing connects to Apple servers and binds the new part serial numbers to the device so long as the serial numbers were not registered on a stolen iOS device, aka stolen iPhone being scrapped for parts.

How much do they charge in europe for battery changes anyone know? I'm skeptical its ~100€ for genuine parts?? I got quoted ~300 for an original 13PM battery.

A lot of rich people features already trickled down to cheap devices and more are coming soon in the future. We'd still be on 60Hz panels if Apple and Samsung have zero competition like the old days.

Dont the phones still need like special special tools to replace the parts of the phone ? Like when they have all parts with some code that needs to match with the phone in order it to work. I have seen videos of screen change on something like iPhone 14 Pro or something and have 2 new phones out of the box taken screen off and then placed on the second phone and then face unlock dont work and some sensors and also selfie cam so you have parts that are official that probably also cost half of the phone price and you still need to have it fixed by repair shop that have the special tools that make the parts understand that it's where the parts need to be and work like they were made to work
