      I'd rather have no phone.

Lister, 15 Nov 2024Can this compete with the other top flagships out there in ... moreG box exists, and can let you download the Google play store. Though the app optimization for newer Kirin chips is... Meh

CoinSide, 15 Nov 2024Interested in what The specs of the Soc will be this time..... moreExtra note: You should have grounded expectations about the Kirin 9100, it's probably just slightly better than a Snapdragon 888 that is the best case scenario ofcourse... Or it could be worse than the original Kirin 9000 like the rest of the new Kirin SOCs are, I hope the former is true.

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2024Of course it is going to get updates. Why do you need a pro... moreMy P40 Pro plus is on September 2023 security update and EMUI 12 and my Mate Pad Pro from 2019 is on harmony 2.0 and August 2023. In these conditions, it's kidna hard to believe they'll support their device for years like the rest of the other makers do.

Can this compete with the other top flagships out there in China? The OS has a limited amount of apps, so buying into this is a gamble.

Livius, 15 Nov 2024I admit I can't wait to see this phone but I'm no... moreOf course it is going to get updates. Why do you need a promise?
I owned a Mate 20 Pro, it arrived with EMUI 9 out of the box and I received updates until EMUI 12. After a pause, I received a final update in December 2023 concerning connectivity.
Rest assured, Huawei won't fool you.

I admit I can't wait to see this phone but I'm not going to buy it. I'll go for Honor Magic 7 Pro to have a complete phone software wise. There are still some hiccups with owning a Huawei phone. And the biggest deal breaker for me is that Huawei doesn't promise not even 1 year of update policy. I'm sure even with a CPU behind the rest, it's still going to work very well and be very snappy

Patiently waiting when Chinese SMIC will make as good chips as Huawei of the old times when there wasnt any ban.
6-8 years ago were Huawei Chips litterary best.

I am owning Mate 60 Pro Plus for 10 months. Before HarmonyOS 5 update, I used it for my main phone. And I completely do not understand those people who claims 7nm Kirin chips are trash, cannot even use the phone for everyday use. In fact, the phone excels on every day tasks including multitasking, shooting photos, watching videos, calling, texting and gaming. The new and improved Mate 70 Pro Plus and Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design will be grounding breaking.

Super interested in seeing how HarmonyOS Next performs.

I definitely will buy it when its available in my region. The 6nm chip is certainly enough for my needs (im currently using a Pura Ultra with no issues and it has a 7nm chip). Id rather get an excellent camera with 100w fast charging and a stable OS than the trash other companies are making. The world needs an alternative to the American monopoly of google and Apple.

Can't wait for Huawei to catch up in semi-manufacuring and wipe the floor with Qualcomm again. It's been a long time without any real competition. Well, at least Mediatek is making a dent.

The Kirin 9100 is rumored to be a 6nm chipset on par with 4nm snapdragon 8 gen 2. It is behind newest 3nm chipsets, but performance-wise, it performs as 4nm. There will probably be even more performance improvements because of the HarmonyOS software.

Interested in what The specs of the Soc will be this time... Honestly Huawei would be really good if it weren't for their underpowered processors, Granted it's not their Fault.
Kirin 9100 might finally achieve better than the Kirin 9000
