I loved my Flip 6 - so easy to carry but the battery life was too short and the camera not good enough - gone back to S24

They can go cheap everywhere else, except the durability. Cheaper foldables means more units in more hands. That means stories of damaged devices could increase which ultimately leads to more doubt about the durability.

Samsung does not want that because their damaged Z's are the only ones that go viral. Everyone else is ignored and on the other side of the earth, they completely wipe any bad image of their foldables from the internet.

To sum up, some Samsung phones are around 20~25% more expensive in my country than on the rest of the world.

"This information comes from the usually reliable Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants"

Should he be spilling inside information like that?
Or is this just another marketing ploy?(offcourse it is)

Just keep the previous gen flip in circulation at a discounted price since the software support has been extended

transsion flips cost around 400-500usd running mtk D8020, LTPO Amoled, triple 50mp camera sensor.

if this samsung flip FE is similar and running regardless exynos 2400/e would be a great choice.

It needs to be 300-$500 cheaper than regular flip just like razr, otherwise people will buy older flip instead

They might not have much competitor in the past for their foldables, but recent Chinese entry into shipping their foldables globally seem to be triggering Samsung to do something.

Considering Samsung neutered the regular Flip by omitting Dex mode, opting for a lower or older SoC might not be a big deal. Why pay more for the latest flagship SoC when you are not allowed to use the flagship features?

                  I’m guessing Exynos 2400e.

Whether it's a cheaper variant or not, Samsung will sell it expensive just because. That's Samsung way to do anything.

I said it before I'll say it again, this seems like an insane move to me. When the flip 7 launches you will be able to buy a flip 6 for a 50% discount, and it will be way better than this.
