The OS I'm not too crazy about but the design and the independent manufacturing are fascinating. When other phones start to copy Huawei and maybe use Kirin, then I'll bite. I mean the other chinese brands are probably going to be incentivized one day to use domestic chips over "imports" (non chinese made).
I also would like to see Kirin chips in all kinds of products. Development boards, tv boxes etc.

You can tell even the midrange are a bang for bucks on its hardware and feature they are offering .. the name brand to lookout for
