Basically, it seems like everyone is trying to copy Apple or the iPhone. Samsung often follows in Apple's footsteps, while many Chinese phone brands either mimic their UI or replicate features like AirDrop or pressure-sensitive camera buttons—lacking originality. The exception might be Huawei, but even they often make jokes about Apple. It feels like Apple has become the benchmark that everyone compares themselves to. If no copy, like Sony will be dying lol.

They held a reddit Ask Me Anything many years ago but ended up deleting or ignoring posts about removable battery (they sell Xcover phones), microsd cards and headphone jacks (reduced to budget versions/poor people features).
Just like how their fans behave. The Apple kids of the Android world.

I wouldn't mind the simple, mininalist look if not for the fact Samsung uses the exact same design for all of their other smartphones. You end up with a $200 budget phone that looks the same as a $1000 flagship.

DarlingYext, 19 hours agoS21 (2025)It's funny, but sad, Samsung is practically recycling the same device and the only "update" of the camera is the ISP, I bet it will continue with the problem of the purple night sky.

Unfortunately this has become a theme for Samsung "More of the same" since the S21 Ultra.
Would never have believed Samsung would be competing with iPhone for the most worthless incremental yearly update.
This is what happens when you have a market monopoly. Hopefully the Chinese phones will start making their way to the western markets(Oppo x8 pro)

What a joke. And they did some advertising making fun of Apple for releasing the same phone year after year. Oh, the hypocrisy...
