In the S10 line, only the S10e was worth buying, but they discontinued it from next year line-up which again was disappointing, and then the entire S series went downhill after that. Same design, and not much improvement in build quality. Samsung has been really disappointing lately. Boring phones every year

The S22, 23, 24 - all looked and felt like minor upgrades from the S10. The only thing I miss on my Oneplus is Samsung's OneUI and Goodlock. In all other aspects, it was an eye-opener to how stagnant Samsung's development has been.

There were bezels, but still the phone looked good. They can easily reintroduce that design again in the midrange, but knowing samsung, they just won't.
They have stagnated and there's nothing exciting about any samsung phone now

As usual, everything same. Nothing significantly new. It's like they've lost interest in the S series lol
Meanwhile chinese phones are upgrading considerably each year. With better IP ratings, better build quality and drop resistance, bigger batteries and lifespan, their phones are definitely worth buying

So when can we expect a complete overhaul of the S series?
Do you guys think that the Galaxy S26 will be it?
Other competitors have shifted to 6000mAh batteries coupled with proper fast charging, have the latest Samsung display and more upgraded cameras.
Samsung has fallen behind and their only saving grace is One Ui but the hardware has got outdated

Basically, it seems like everyone is trying to copy Apple or the iPhone. Samsung often follows in Apple's footsteps, while many Chinese phone brands either mimic their UI or replicate features like AirDrop or pressure-sensitive camera buttons—lacking originality. The exception might be Huawei, but even they often make jokes about Apple. It feels like Apple has become the benchmark that everyone compares themselves to. If no copy, like Sony will be dying lol.
