Then it would have been very complete but even the poor model got a very average imx858 periscope so I guess they didn't want to give the standard model any. Apparently the will release a Xiaomi 15s series this year in the summer so wonder if they are going to upgrade the telephotos for those

MbTsM, 23 Nov 2024Because not available global mini pro i will switch to Xiao... moreYeah, it's probably the only global option among relatively compact Chinese phones until Oppo launches the find x8 pro mini early next year (although not sure if that will also be limited to China). It's unfortunate if the Vivo x200 pro mini doesn't launch globally as the telephoto on the Xiaomi 15 is so poor for a flagship (the worst by a long distance amongst all new phones in its price point). The Vivo x200 pro is far superior for overall camera performance but apart from cameras they are pretty similar. Actually the Xiaomi 15 might have a slight edge outside of cameras in terms of having an ultrasonic fingerprint reader which Vivo lacks on the x200 pro mini. For cameras though it lags behind unfortunately.

Vivo X200 mini is the only Phone from these brands that caught my eye and even though I hate the UI, this could be a pretty good choice.
If this launches globally. A lot of people who go for the big phones(atleast the people I know) do not do so for the big screens, but for the advantages big phones have like better battery life and all the bells and whistles brands can pack in bigger chassis. X200 mini has all those except for huge screen, this is a game changer, sadly only for China.

I m vivo user last 12 year often time I request you please launch mini phone like 5:7 or 8 inch like I phone samsung s 24 you have lots of models but all models are big not a single phone handy some people like me handy phone prefer hope u understand simple and shober handy phone please launch

The design of the Vivo X200 Pro Mini is also more suitable for all genders while Xiaomi 15 is too masculine (boxy frame and boxy camera island). My wife prefer X200 Pro Mini than Xiaomi 15 but sadly it is not available outside China :(

Vivo can do Wonders in India if they FIRE the present Marketting Team and HIRE a better one. They've come a long way when it comes to providing the over-all Phone usage experience.
I don't think any OEM can beat their smartphones in Android, if the publicity is done well.

Vivo X200 Pro Mini is one of the few real compact flagships and the only one so far with either a D9400/SD8E chipset or a huge battery.

The mini was certainly the most interesting device of the bunch. It has been a long time since a device from erstwhile BBK company has interested me so.
Had already recommended it to a couple of people in my circle. Now pretty disappointed to see it is not launching in India.

DashF, 23 Nov 2024What a terrible decision to not launch mini !What's even a more terrible decision was releasing the global vanilla in a color that was exclusive to the pro mini in China, which previously gave people some false hope that it was actually the pro mini going global or at least getting renamed as vanilla 200 internationally. That was truly a d*ck move by Vivo.
