Qualcomm needs to redo the naming scheme. It's really confusing with the s and non-s, especially with each of them differ in specifications, with the supposedly weaker s variant getting a newer core.

    Unlikely this will be a main series phone. 7s Gen 3 gets beat by 778G.

          No idea about 7s Gen 3. Have not seen any device with it yet.

            For ₹32k I could get a oneplus 12R and that has a Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Nobody will pay this much for just some LEDs and an underpowered 7s gen 3.
            Plus, they don’t have enough brand value to justify this price tag.

              Sure its double the price of nearly every phone in its class, but it does have glyph lights. That's worth it, right?

                It would make sense for the new Phone 3 to have a Snap 8 gen 3 or higher equivalents, this 7s gen 3 should only be for a 3a or hell 2a pro or something.

                  This info is wrong. Nothing Phone 3a is getting 7s Gen 3 only for 3a Plus to get 7 Gen 3. Nothing Phone 3 is getting 8 Gen 2 whereas 3 Pro is getting 8s Gen 3. For limited Edition variant, 8 Gen 3 will pop up in 3 Pro. And Pricing wise. $600 is correct for Phone 3 Pro. $500 for Phone 3. $400 for 3a and 3a Plus variants.

                        It would only make sense if Nothing Phone 3 has 8Gen3 and Pro variant has 8 Elite chipset.

                        Otherwise ₹50k for 7sGen3 is daylight robbery.

                          Most probably a new MTK chipset optimized for Nothing phone. Let's call it Nothing Phone 3a

                            I guess now Nothing is a budget brand? But I think its another variant of the 2a.

                                Maybe 8s Gen3 for the Pro version to cut costs.
                                Perhaps that will allow adding telephoto sensor finally.
                                But we'll see.

                                  7s Gen 3 beats 778G and 7300 - in fact, it's only marginally slower than 7 Gen 3. It's till the point that it's basically a variant of 7 Gen 4 rather than 7 Gen 3.

                                      However i doubt the flagship will come with any of those chips, carl pei himself confirmed that they wanted to use a stable/trustable chipset which is why they went with the 8+ gen 1 instead of the 8 gen 2 at the time, the 8 gen 3 is not stable at all 💀 neither is the 9300

                                        Mylo, It would be quite an achievement if Instagram opens with that kind of SOC. For Instagram of course for making that lite version so lite.
