Realme rebrands and Xiaomi also with Poco

To create loop holes for exclusive smartphone releases on Flipkart/ Amazon

Consumers and techies on this website and elsewhere just see "omg rebrands!!!" Not gonna lie that mee to sometimes

But it just shows we generally lack knowledge/understanding on the business/insider parts of things

Gusta, 5 hours agoIsn't D8300'S GPU already powerful for gaming at ... moreIt's issue of core availability more than cpu. D8300 itself isn't more efficienct than 8200 same curve just surpass it at high power usage due to higher frequency.

Midrange will get more powerfull when A720 goes mainstream otherwise don't expect miracle. So wait for D8400/Exynos 1580/7s gen 3 if you want more power.

"MediaTek doesn't specify whether these improvements are over the 8300 or a different chip."

I'm fairly positive that's by design, which likely means they compared it to another chip.

Believe me, when companies want to brag about something they accomplished (especially if it's a big deal), they will.

Very good soc, but is limited only for Xiaomi. Also this naming scheme is ridiculous. Same soc but different name just to foolish people like they got something new. It's already great procesor, no need for that cheap marketing strategy.

The 4s Gen 2 has also been out since July, so far only the Redmi A4 5G uses it.

The rationale behind this one could be that the D8300 was exclusive to Xiaomi, while this "new" D8350 can be used by other companies (or is exclusive to Oppo and BBK)... Just speculation from my end...

Isn't D8300'S GPU already powerful for gaming at its price? I think its CPU that should be upgraded to compete with SD 7+ Gen 3 CPU power.
