To me said IPXX rating is nothing but gimmick because as long as no manufacturer gives yoou water damage warranty your said IPXX resistance is just for a fashion.
Even something cheap and unprotective as Redmi 9A can withstand few raindrops and even the IP69K rated phones arent immortal versus water and liquids.

Not as nice looking as it's previous versions. It looks cheap and nasty. Like any other cheap looking phone you can pick up at Tesco... The hardware inside is obviously top notch. But its looks let it down.. I've currently got the oppo Reno 8 pro and it looks gorgeous and premium and I'm looking to upgrade next year but I won't be going for this model.. Hopefully the international version looks different. Which it probably won't.. a real let down this.. Oppo have fooked up.. Big time..!!

We've literally just started seeing smartphones implementing IP69 and realme introduced the underwater photography mode on the GT7 Pro. Still, though, you simply don't need anymore protection than it's already possible. Like no one is going to want to swim for hours in the middle of the Dead Sea with their smartphone in their pocket.

I think this phone could be competitive on the global market if it isn't downgraded like the previous models and is also priced competitively. I really do think it has a chance.

The ones that get thrown away quickly will be those 4gb ram sold by most makers, including Samsung, or those with eMMC storage.

                      Curious about the battery tech

They are definitely gonna launch with a crappy beat up chipset globally 😔

Knowing Oppo, they'll most likely downgrade the chips to Dimensity 7350 for the global versions and then make them at least $100 more expensive lol.

Apparently there also was a Reno 13 pro+/Ultra in development with a dimensity 9300 chipset and some other upgrades but it got cancelled because it got too close in specs and pricing to the X8. That's why the 13 Pro looks a little underwhelming
