25 November 2024
It's been a very busy year for OnePlus when it comes to smartwatch releases.

It would be awesome if they could put IR blaster on a smart watch and at least 64gb of memory.

The watch 2 uses a clever dual-OS system with 2 SoCs in the watch itself. Most of the time the main OS that's running is a lighter proprietary OS on the lower-power SoC which handles incoming notifications, workouts and running the AOD. When you raise the watch to respond to a notification or use a more demanding app, then WearOS kicks into gear.
The result seems to be that the Watch2 can get up to 5 days on a single charge compared to most WearOS device's 1.5 days.

Still obviously beaten by the likes of any non-WearOS platform like garmin or huawei, but definitely makes the watch 2 a good option if you want to balance the smartwatch functions with battery life.

What could they possibly add up to make it better!?
Yes, better sensors and double sized battery, but than it would be a Pro version and cost much more.

Bezels! The pic depicts 4 layers of bezels; the hard physical bezel and three rings of bezel on the display surface eroding usable screen real estate. Crazy stuff; no way this is remotely interesing.

Don't forget that wear os is battery hungry os. So you will get short battery life. Otherwise its great.

I'm sure the OnePlus Watch is good, but this would ruin it for me. Why release a new version this soon? It just de-values the predecessor.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2024I hoped esim version Based off of some digging I've done. The OnePlus watch 3 will have LTE.

I hope they release the 13 already for the rest of the world. Preferably in 24GB/1TB variant as well.
