Huawei was secretive about the chipsets inside the new models, saying only that they are 40% faster.

And 5G speeds exceed Qualcomm modem (who still measurs LTE speed?). Huawei always has superb photo-processing, so there's nothing wrong with the ISP. The dated process node and everything else is due to US sanctions.

The ISP is worse and supports only 4k60 max on the Kirin 9010. Runs just Vulkan 1.0, so it is quite poor in games, not to mention the much slower GPU. It somehow has slower LTE speeds too. You have to keep in mind, that chip is four years newer, yet barely matches the SD888. That's why I said, Huawei phones just aren't worth it nowadays, their chips are not competitive. It's not massively behind in anything but speed, but even that is just tragic

                Anonymous, 27 Nov 2024A series cores are still faster than Snapdragon cores.Barely. They still lose pretty massively when it comes to multicore performance, aswell as the NPU and GPU performance. Apple has lost pretty much all of their lead.

                    Like I said, DoDeca Core Processors on Mobile will start coming in 2025. It's true now.... If it scores more then 3.5M+ then Qualcomm might adopt this strategy. Anyways Rumors say Qualcomm will bring 8 Elite 2 with Deca Core and 8 Elite 3 with DoDeca Core (12-core) Processors.

                      There are 1.4 billion people in China. That's two times more population than US and EU combined. Huawei will do well even if they focus on selling their phones only in China. There's also no Google monopoly in China, HarmonyOS will thrive there.

                        The Kirin 9020 might be a few years behind, but the rest of the phone such as the display, camera, fast charge, the kunlun glass, and connectivity are top of its class.

It has the latest tech in connectivity with Huawei as the leader in telecommunications and ISP with Huawei as the leader in smartphone photography. People who buy Huawei flagships aren't typically gamers and, even then, the chip is no slouch at gaming.

                                  Performance is not the only factor for buyers of Iphone. So what if SD is faster than A18 Pro chip? The same for Huawei phones with Harmony OS. It's the safest OS from prying western eyes. Everyone who doesn't want CIA or Mosad to spy on them would adopt Harmony OS. The market is super huge given that western population only accounts for 27% of worlds population. The main adoption in the coming years would start with BRICS countries.

Meanwhile, that US silicon valle... moreGoogle chose to use that, they could use something better (and supposedly will in the future). Huawei is sanctioned, but that doesn't matter to the consumer. If you produce phones that can't compete with the rest, asking for prices that are on par or higher than those is not the right call. Huawei probably sells next to no phones outside of China and makes massive losses, but their other devices make up for that, I can't explain it any other way.

They may be able to slowly catch up, but they won't leave anyone in the dust, especially after the Dimension 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips came out.
