Hey Sid, 29 Nov 20248K 24FPS? What were they smoking when they decided to limit... moreWhat you smoking!
Prior to 2020 24fps was THE best quality for blockbuster films shown in global theatres!!!
The details captured sre immaculate! Have a GOOD look at Q Taurantino's films. Look at teh splatter the snow etc! Really look amd youll notice just how GOOD 24fps really is!
Redmi K80 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse special edition revisiting . If it has Pro Mode for camera and video it could be my next one if international software is possible. I'D prefer the vircular camera hub was centered on the back though.

"Xiaomi designed a novel 3D dual-loop vapor chamber that promises to reduce temperatures by up to 3°C"
3 degrees Celcius is BARELY PERCEPTIBLE to the HUMAN body and barely ANYTHING to need a dual-loop vapour chamber. I sense a LOT of political bs going on here !

Editors of this site NEED to stop stating "Snapdragon 8 Elite is powerful but can run hot"
there is NO evidence of this in normal smartphones that use it to date!
ONLY the gaming phones that PUSH the full limites of the CPU+NPU+GPU do and THAT's why they require beefy cooling solutions.

jiyen235, 30 Nov 2024but like, you DO know you're like a SUPER minority, ri... moreIt is intimidating at first but you'd be surpri6hoe easy all this is. Everything has a clean graphicsl user interface and you can do all this in 20-30 mins maybe more for first timers but worth it. I started messing with stuff when I was 12 (breaking toys and making something else), at 15 I got my hands on an android and curiosity got the better of me. Too many trial and bricked phones, then fear of losing the phone made me want to fix the phones and that's how I learn. I'm sure you can do it too if you try.
Oh and, I have my eyes of the iqoo 13 this time, only phone in the bugdet with USB 3.1

Whenev... morebut like, you DO know you're like a SUPER minority, right? cus gah damn man im a normie compared to you lmao
my point is that if someone just takes it out of the box and uses it normally, then they're most likely not going to get good battery life, unless xiaomi fixed it this year. They have good battery life sometimes like with the 14T Pro but idk man it's inconsistent. For you this phone seems perfect haha

jiyen235, 29 Nov 2024I've talked to a guy who's a super xiaomi fanboy ... moreMaybe so but I personally am a tinkerer of sorts.
Whenever setting up a new phone, I make sure to uninstall all the apps (system/pre-loaded app that the ROM treats as system apps) I don't like with ADB (Shizuku/PC), then every app I install get a special background services check and permissions for battery and network (I disable most and I don't use social media apps like facebook/messenger/twitter, etc) every game gets the same treatment, whatever does not need to run in the background gets no access to the background network usage. I always use ad-guard DNS to further prohibit apps access to advertising servers and more. I can't share screenshots here but before my OP7 Pro stopped working, it had blocked about 3.8 Billion ads, 560 million tracking requests and saved me about 2.8 TB of data (yes, I am a heavy phone user) on the Lenovo K10 Note in use for about 40 days now is already up-to a couple hundred million bocked ads couple 10s million in blocked requests and closing in on a TB of saved data. People don't realise how much battery drain is the side effect of constant refreshes, tracking, ads server using network. Google gets the same treatment, all sorts of location aharing and constant background check is blocked in account settings and app settings like play rewards/maps/translate/keyboard/mail.
All this helps me get some of the most insane battery life. So much so that people often don't believe me when I used to share SOTs on XDA with my OP2 which had the notorious SD 810 with overheating and battery drain issues, I consistently got anywhere from 3 hrs on a heavy day to a whipping 7-8 hrs of SOT (Screen on time). This might sound normal by today's standards but back in SD 810 days, this was unheard of.

While i love xiaomi's processing, their battery is too big of a problem to ignore.
If you want to see further examples of the poor battery, just look at TechNick's battery tests. The 14 Ultra gets around the same runtime as an S22 Ultra. And Xiaomi's phones in general have "average" battery at best, im talking about global phones btw. For some reason their china specific phones are the complete opposite and are some of the best phones for battery out there lol

8K 24FPS? What were they smoking when they decided to limit the capture quality? And who looks at peak brightness? If we are talking about PBM, wouldn't Realme win the game since it goes to an upwards of 6000 nits PBM? The real or HBM is 2000nits and it still glows harsh!

Xiaomi phones suffer the most from this lol
But if someone can put up with the battery quirk, this solos EVERY other phone. Really competent phone with virtually no flaw somehow. How'd they do it??? This is some black magic!!

The base variant on GeekWills and Giztop is going for $599/- for 12/256 variant and the top end 16/1TB variant for $800/- (add $20 if you want any color besides black) which does make it the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite device.
Everything else is still true and the device is a good one but I seriously think that nobody should buy a phone with anything below USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Among my personal choices of a potential Snapdragon X Elite, there are respectively; - RedMagic 10 Pro - iQOO 13 - Redmi K80 Pro The first and the second, will be, according to my personal point of view, the true champions of Gaming. The third, will be the absolute champion in relation to the price, a real FlagShip Killer with a very affordable price. And given the latest releases of a Realme with its GT 7 Pro (out-of-the-world prices), I'm almost sure that the Redmi K80 Pro (aka POCO F 'xyz' Pro) will be a big hit with enthusiasts.

It's high time to get rid of those terrible selfy camera 20mpx and 32mpx sensors, Xiaomi!
It's a dealbreaker for many for several years and you keep repeating the same mistake even in the last flagship, 15 Pro.
