    What would be that I'd like my smartwatch to do that doesn't do already? Sincerely nowadays other than the curiosity of making a device running a non standard software I don't see what would be the benefit in terms of usability.

              I love Xiaomi (I'm a Mi Fan since 2017) but in 2020 I decided to go with Huawei and Honor for my smartband/smartwatches needs and I can't say I made the wrong choice. What I'm looking in a fitness band is an accurate heart rate tracking and Huawei has shown that they're consistently only slightly below Apple in terms of accuracy (as per The Quantified Scientist reviews on YouTube). And considering Huawei Band is also dirt cheap (as low as $20), there's no reason for me to choose Xiaomi instead.

                Me: The side and top bezels are huge, at least the bottom one will be symmetrical.
                Xiaomi: hold my beer, an even thicker chin.

                  Only worth it if it's actually bootloader unlockable and rootable. Otherwise it's useless.
