It seems like an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

    This is just underclocked version of 8 Gen 3 which is equivalent to Dimensity 8400.

        phoneaddict3133, 29 Nov 2024i thought they just launched Honor 200 Series? This honor series is launched twice a year in China. But launches once a year outside China.

        Honor 80, 90, 100, 200 were launched in China 6 mths apart.

        However, only 90 and 200 were launched outside China, which means obce a year.

        300 may break the trend and launch outside China.

            i thought they just launched Honor 200 Series?

              If honor 300 pro got the underclocked 8 gen 3 safe to assume that honor 300 ultra either gets the overclocked or normal 8 gen 3

                I think Honor since the 200 series is becoming the best of the upper midrange series of phones that target the offline market in China. The Reno series is the worst. The Vivo s series is in the middle but the Honor series now seems to be a bit better although this year the Vivo s20 pro is actually very solid too. The Reno 13 pro is such a poor offering though compared to the s20 pro and Honor 300 pro (is going to be). Basically, it's worse in every category from processor to cameras (maybe with the exception of the screen)

                  The only problem that seems bothersome is the lack of 8K recording, which one may expect at this price point. Same applies to the minor changes from the previous iteration.

                        The processor is either an over clocked snapdragon 8s gen 3 or an under clocked snapdragon 8 gen 3
                        But yeah the honor 300 pro should have a different processor (snapdragon 8 gen 3) rather than the snapdragon 8s gen 3 that the honor 200 pro uses

                              Being underclocked isn't actually a bad thing. From the greebench scores it's still performing the same as other 8 gen 3 devices, and being underclocked means it will probably throttle less than other 8 gen 3 phones.
