I mean, as much as I miss the headphone jack, I don't post "no jack = no buy" on like 13 different forums and articles like this Anonymuss guy. I'm not a spoiled 8 year old kid, or a 36 year old unemployed guy who has nothing better to do but complain about things on the internet. 🤷

'The actual size of the sensor is 1/1.49", and the corresponding actual sensor size for 4:3 output is 1/1.56".' Therefore for standard 4:3 output it is only 1/1.56" which is the same. I'm just stating a fact here. I also have often criticized Chinese phones in the past when I believe it's deserved.

All your comments are defending and praising these chinese companies.
Would be nice if you criticize them for once.

I couldn't care less about the macro capabilities so I'd prefer the higher quality periscope like on the Realme because it will offer higher quality portraits, better zoom quality in lowlight and better hybrid zoom. Redmi actually doesn't have a periscope design. It's an upright telephoto. It's basically a choice of better zoom versus better macros so I understand if closeup photos are very important why you'd like the closer focusing distance on the telephoto. For me though portraits and zoom range are more important so I'd prefer the higher quality periscope

Batteries have stagnated for years, and we are finally getting some development

And your already wishing a half on the expansion/size

                    Camera had mega pixel wars

Let batteries have their time in the sunshine please

                    Let battery wars begin

Neo 9 Pro had a 1/1.49" main sensor and now it got downgraded to 1/1.56"

Anonymous, 29 Nov 2024I wonder at which point battery capacity is enough to stop ... moreAre you malnourished, are you saying you are having difficulties lifting a phone ?
Phones are plenty light and thin they don't need to be any lighter or thinner, and I want phones with bigger batteries, you may only take a picture and scroll through Facebook 5 minutes per day but others can have more demanding use cases on their phones, bigger batteries is the way to go

Aierlan, 29 Nov 2024Get your point about the IQOO13. Realme gt7 pro though has ... moreYes. Realme GT 7 Pro has Good 3x telephoto camera. But it lacks Tele Macro and the 8MP UW also doesn't have Macro capabilities. So No Chance of Macro Photography.

Redmi does have a Smaller sensor for Telephoto but its a persicope design and has Tele Macro as well. Also the UW is not the same at all. Realme has an 8MP 1/4 in sensor which is unusable. Redmi has 32MP (8MP Binned) 1/3 inch sensor. Its a bigger sensor. Quality remains to be seen in reviews but i expect it to be better.

They both have their ups n downs. I'll personally chose Redmi, compromise on the Telephoto only a bit to get better UW and TeleMacro photography.

As far as Iqoo Neo 10 Pro goes. You lose out on the Telephoto but get a much better UW+Macro at a cheaper price.

At the end of the day, all three are good devices, I guess if one doesn't want anything to do with UW and Macro or Tele Macro Photography but does need Telephoto camera, then Realme GT 7 Pro is better option. But overall Redmi does offer everything, with smaller telephoto sensor, for about the same price.

Maybe try supporting the one company ... morelet's say i do it, let's say 100 others do it, but it won't matter because the company doesn't REALLY care what a small minority thinks, phones are too expensive to be completely niche.

Besides, no company has a "good" phone with those features. A product is good if the value is good, Sony phones suck in terms of value and midrangers have either SD cards or 3.5 mm and some don't have either. What should people do? Unless a chinese ultra comes with these features, people won't be paying more for these features.

You can easily buy an 8 TB hard drive for your pc or a great portable ssd if you need on the go file transfers, a FiiO KA3 has perfect sound quality and the FiiO KA1 has a more compromised sound quality but is more portable. There's alternatives, go and reach for those like an adult. I can cry all about the removal of notchless screens and numerous other niche features i loved back in the day, but you just have to learn to comply, man. The world is a sad place to live in.
