Google Maps finally pushes Waze reports to Android Auto

I've found over the last few days that Google Maps is reporting mobile speed cameras that aren't there. They've been constant. I look on both sides of the road when it says 100m, and there's nothing.

I ran Waze on my other phone at the same time and it didn't have these "false positives". That being the case, where is Google Maps getting the info from? I'm in Australia.

    This has appeared for a couple of months now on my Android Google Maps. I complained about it twice now to Google because it's incredibly distracting and they tend to pop up at the worst times and it covers too much territory on the screen and there's no way to opt out. This so-called feature is going to kill somebody. I've discovered that I can quickly hit the not there button because it's the largest and closest to the driver regardless of what they're asking me to confirm. I don't think I'm alone in this Behavior some people may love this but this needs to be an opt-in or opt out and not forced on everyone

      I've been using Waze on android auto since a few days after I got it.
      Google maps just isn't as featured. No speed limit HUD, no traffic indicators, no construction warnings. Can't even set google maps to avoid freeways.

      Another thing I hope Google will push to Android Auto would be the ability to use bluetooth output.
      As of right now, auto hijacks and pushes all audio output to your car speakers.
      As a motorcyclist, this completely gimps my comm system for calls and navigation as it relies on bluetooth.

        Beta tester here, last weekend i even reported road event via google maps so not that waze is source its also source of its own . Waze events has been filtered and poping up on google maps for a year just not in big UI form just as a icon

                But HereWeGo is definitely better than Google Maps and one of the best in general.

                      At this point, I'm still surprised that they haven't faded out Waze out yet. Just like what they did with Fitbit.

                          Even with Waze Update. Google Maps is STILL A GARBAGE!

                          It once led me to a DEAD END ZONE. Gives me an alternate route on a ONE WAY Street. And Until now. It won't even save OFFLINE MAPS in DETAILS since I've allowed the app to consume GIGS of storage for the MAPS!

                            In Germany, using apps that show speed trap warnings while driving is illegal. Not even the passengers in your car are allowed to use one.
