People here acting as if they use any of the features "Ultra" variants have.
No one cares about UWB.
There is not difference between 25W and 45W charging.
The cameras take literally identical pictures and videos (just watch Youtube comparisons).
The Stoothpick is barely usable. Seriously, people claim they need a large phone, but have no problem using a toothpick pretending to be a pen?!
Really, the only difference in favour of the "Ultra" is Gorilla Glass Armor, which funnily enough no one mentions.j

Pheelzy, 04 Dec 2024No offense please,
What is ultra wide band?
Like what ... moreUltra Wide Band is wireless communication protocol that uses a radio frequency range between 3.1 - 10.6 Giga Hertz.
Unlike normal Bluetooth (2.4 GHz) and Wi-Fi (2.4/5/6 GHz), UWB can communicate between devices much faster while never using the longer range frequencies.
It is extremely power efficient, can give locate other devices with high precision (what Apple uses in thier AirTags) of up to 5cm or less.
These are short throw frequncies so they have to be in a certain range to work, but like mentioned before, using such high frequencies help them communicate much faster with supported devices.
They are more secure as they not only use a seperate frequency range than what Bluetooth and Wi-Fi do but because they are so fast, they can use more complex encryption keys.
Smart home devices like smart bulbs/bells/switches/motion sensors also use it to avoid interference with you general use devices like internet routers and Bluetooth speakers, they mich still have the UWB chip but they won't be affected in signal quality due to eperate operating frequencies.
Your keyless car might have these, certain compact VR headsets might use them for positioning data and more.
Another one is when you bring two devices in close proximity they can detect each other and connect seamlessly like how some TWS earbuds and phones do. All while you never having to fiddle around with settings or even turning on bluetooth manually.
Of course this is just a small set of applications but that's the gist of it. I'm sure people will find other creative ways to use these.
I imagine wireless keyboards and mouse can use it as well for the same benefits while improving security and performance.
Alright that's it, Hope that helps 🙂

Pheelzy, 04 Dec 2024No offense please, What is ultra wide band? Like what ... moreThey have that additional hardware (including but not limited to antennas) that supports ultra-wideband inside the phone. It's like a turbocharged Bluetooth.

25W or 45W charging on Samsung makes no difference. Phone will charge in same time which is just bizarre.

What, 04 Dec 2024The only android flagship worth paying a premium for. 1/3,52" and 1/3,94" 3x telephoto that gets upscaled from 10 to 12 mp and mura-ridden panels that get their brightness throttled, so premium🤣🤣🤣

Anonymous, 04 Dec 202412GB RAM and UWB are the only things I miss on my base S23 ... moreYeah, based on leaks so far, those are the only upgrades on the vanilla S25 compared to S23, aside from the usual chipset upgrade of course. Cameras, screen specs, and design are unchanged. So far it's shaping up to be merely S23 3.0
