It's simple. They offer superior camera and battery hardware, but much worse software, lackluster support and no brand recognition. So they need to come in with a price at least 10-20% less than Samsung. They either won't or can't, so no one is willing to pay the same for their phones, hence they won't sell them here.

Well that's great then. You know, Vivo and Oppo, I'm still waiting for you two to come back to the UK market, because I don't know which other OEMs are there to choose from that have not stagnated.

The answer is simple!! If you are going to spend more than 1000 dollars, you will not do it on a Chinese brand! Even though its hardware is ahead of other brands that do. But people who want to spend $1,500 on a Chinese brand would do better on an iPhone and perhaps on a Samsung Series 2 like the Ultra, which of the Android Ultras is the only one that has an audience and big sales.
