          so far find x8 is the best phone oppo has ever produced and I doubt the ultra will change that.

No credible leaker has said anything about the camera specs of the X8U other than it will have a 1 inch sensor and dual periscopes. People have then speculated that it may use the lyt600 as its 6x sensor, but again, it's just people's speculations.

              Are you sure this should read as "two focal lengths" instead of "two apertures"?
              Two focal lengths would mean that the main camera is conceived as an optical zoom camera, which would be very unusual.

The xiaomi 14 ultra has consistently had quality control issues across its year long release that xiaomi have yet to make a comment about to the general consumer. Lens fog issues in phones because they have been manufactured in hot, wet climates is no excuse.

They never intended to release the ultra outside of China because of taxes and costs to manufacture and distribute outweigh the benifits of releasing it anywhere else. The pro model breaches the price gap to specs ration that will ensure a safe sale in Europe. Hence why they have used the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 elite. It's just too costly.

And if they're slow as their last ultra's then it doesn't even matter, good zoom on one and space saving on the other but at the cost of a slow aperture? No thanks. What they need is to make their periscopes brighter, and closer focusing, at least for the smaller focal length one, then they're golden, if that's what we get I would buy one after reviews come out and confirm how good the battery life is, otherwise instant buy.

                      Eduard33, 04 Dec 2024That's just pure speculation, there are no credible ru... moreIt is a first leak so indeed there's a bit of a grain of salt there, but it does correlate with what DCS said last summer that the long telephoto will no longer use the IMX858 and that the overall setup is meant to outperform the solo 200MP telephoto configurations like on the Vivo X100 Ultra and the coming Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

                      Plus, I see it perfectly feasible with Oppo's TriplePrism design that saves space.

                        It would be best the phone launches before end of this year

                          can't wait for an new oppo phone that have the similar price to a used car!!
