So guys I actually own the GT7 Pro China Version (which is like 500 dollars cheaper than global ROM), now you can download google and all the other apps so dont worry which version you buy (just try avoiding the India Version, it has 700 mAh less battery capacity)
Besides from the basics, this phone has one of the best displays spec wise. The largest colour gamut I have seen on any phone, 120% DCI-P3 with HDR10, 10+, HlG, Dolby Vision, LTPO8 AMOLED with up to 6500nits peak, 2000 nits HBM AUTO, 1100 nits Manual, all on a 450 DPI 1264 * 2780 6.8 in Panel. Spec Wise, this is better than the previous holder of this title, the Samsung S24 Ultra (with less brightness @ 2600 nits, and only 100% DCI-P3[this is already very good])
Processor Wise, this phone is a battleship destroyer if CPU's were ships. With an astounding 4.32 Ghz clock speed on 2 Cores, you'd expect some pretty low speeds on the other 6, right? Well, you'll be wrong when you find out those 6 cores pack a 3.53 Ghz punch! So powerful, that this cluster of 6 Power Cores defeats the Apple A16 Bionic spec wise, with even the 3.46 Ghz Everest Cores not coming close (but the apple optimizations make this cluster a bit worse in single core). And add those two beefy 4.32 Ghz Prime Cores, you get the fastest mobile processor recorded, that is, if we don't count the M4 on the iPad Pro (it doesn't matter 9 or 10 cores, even the 9 core is way faster).
Now, the camera. A 50 MP Main is pretty standard nowadays, but the realme gt7 pro takes this to another level! This camera supports Dolby Vision in videos and is absolutely astounding! Photos wise, you can get it to be too bright or dark in some areas, so turning auto HDR off can be a good idea in some situations. If it is really that bad, might as well use the EV corrector to increase or decrease brightness. But other than that, the photos taken are STELLAR! PDAF, OIS and all other juicy features only complement the 4k60 and 8k24 video capabilities of this camera. The telephoto camera is a punch-packed 50 MP 3x telephoto. Now, this 3x zoom is pretty standard, taking into consideration that the S22 Ultra does 10x optical, and most other flagships do 5x. But, 50 MP? For a 3x? Apple's 16 Pro Max has a 12MP for 5x, and S24 Ultra has a 10MP for its 3x. Thus, the photos captured by this camera are astounding. Again, Dolby Vision is supported up to 4k60 with Gyro-EIS on the videos(same for main camera, OIS is for photos). The telephoto does not support 8k video. Once again, the photos exposure can be a bit off, so using EV correction or turning off auto HDR can help. The ultrawide is more or less not useful at all, 8MP? Seriously, this was a major letdown. It supports no HDR standards and the chinese version doesnt allow it to record video (global ROM allows for FHD30, which is really bad anyways). The photos are soft and very poor in colour accuracy, and I don't think its worth it for ultra wide shooters.
The selfie camera is a bit on the budget side for a flagship. It does support FHD60, which is very good considering some phones don't even support 60 fps. But, it has minimal stabilisation, mid colour accuracy, no HDR standards and slightly soft images. However, this is passable, and is not really bad, just a bit off for the price.
Battery wise this phone is an absolute BEAST. With a 6500 mAh Si-C battery with 120W Ultrafast charging, this phone can save you on your important days if you didnt charge. If you can hold back just 15 minutes more at home, you can get it to 53 percent(my tests). If you can hold back just 5 minutes, 22 percent! And note that this percent is out of the massive 6500 mAh cell, so don't expect it to die out that easily.
All in all, this phone can be classified as a very good high-end midrange phone, or a well rounded Semi-Flagship. If not for the ultrawide and selife cameras, this phone was easily a true flagship, with a record breaking display and benchmark guzzling chip(which does give off some heat during high res video recording and stress testing, so you might want to invest in a heat dissipation case or a cooler fan if you can get it. Cameras, a job well done, Realme for the main and telephoto. Ultrawide and Selfie? I look forward to an improvement in the GT8 series :)
