Huawei’s Mate 70 series is garnering a lot of interest and could be faced with production bottlenecks

07 December 2024
The company might have problems producing enough of its homegrown Kirin chips.

Huawei made great devices. However, it’s very hard to believe their current popularity nowadays considering the Chinese government are “encouraging” their middle up class citizens to buy Huawei to show nationalistic support.

Even sadder, Huawei own employees actually don’t like using Huawei devices. Their employees prefer HP laptops over Huawei’s own.

Only dxomark are pushing them, but will not help at all. If you see reviews on YouTube, the cam is garbage. Vivo, Pixel and even iPhone are better phones for the money. And as you said Pura 70 ultra is 1499€ in germany. Lol

It's just their Chief imaging officer left to Honor, that's why they are lagging behind Vivo a little bit. Let's see what happens. They're not competitive at all. The Pro + costs as much as the S24 Ultra, and that's in China. Outside it would cost a heck of a lot more.

It is so funny, isn't it. Just a few years ago, the story was that it was game over bevause of the sanctions. Today, the story is that the devices are so popular, thete will be bottlenecks. It will take a few years and hard mumbers to show that this is not the case. Yet, this is exactly what is happening, calm, quiet, unflinching focus and perseverance, always turning the other cheek regardless of insult or sanctions. How does one cope with this kind of progress? Only the Joker knows the answer

Wait, 8 core, 12 threads CPU? Are they using SMT on that thing? In a mobile device? That's new if true and not just a typo. Intel has been ditching SMT (Hyperthreading) in their latest Arrow Lake) and Huawei is bringing it back on mobile? I want to know more now!
